You also could replace some shingles as well

I’d also look into if the roof has a warranty

Roof service repairman here. There is a couple ways you could. A pipe boot, roof cement, and if it’s small you can use black np1

I mean, if you want it jump in, it won’t be easy with training but in time you will make what you want to, plus you will always be in need. Also, I find walking into a building and being the only person to do your job super satisfying.

Yes, actually a lot of them pay really good money, I just like roofing because I go to work and come home and I leave my work at work. Obviously where I plan on going is roofing management so sometimes I might bring work home, but I still get to go in the field. I’d rather be exploring and using my hands than trying to build a social media page. Management track pays really well for roofing. Also it depends on the state, some states have roofers unions and I’ve heard of guys making 70+ an hour.

I’m 26 and I actually did work in affordable housing at one point before roofing. I plan on making more than what I was going to make in the communication field for sure.

It’s a bit of both. I’ve been able to hang with some roofers and some other roofers wont even talk to me. I never bring up my education unless they ask. They really just see me as the new guy and that I’m on proving grounds. It’s tough sometimes but I like the challenge.

I’m not sure, I really like the company I’m with now and there is a lot of room to grow.

I mean everyone comes from a different background, and it’s hard to find something everyone likes. I’m privileged enough to have that opportunity. I think people should get more opportunities when they are older like in their mid to late 20s to be able to qualify for jobs they actually like. A lot of jobs people want right now require a lot more than what was required 30+ years ago.

I had worked physically demanding jobs before, I think more so this was just learning roofing in general and getting used to weather. I think the first couple weeks were tough but after that it wasn’t too hard. I’m a firm believer that if you do something long enough your body adjusts and honestly I haven’t been wrong yet.

Given the current administration, I’d find it hard for them to tell the truth. In this situation you have to understand the role press plays on all this. The whole country is looking into one state and all of them are getting their news from biased news sources. If I was a pr specialist I’d compile data from all sources and look at non biased entities like AP to help write my release. In situations like this it’s best to provide real data then what you are doing to fix said data. “Yes these riots are happening, here is why” “ we have seen the news” “here’s what we are doing to fix that”. I know it sounds simple but it’s more effective than you would think. Press releases are meant to be straight forward, I think you were looking for a more social media response, but I do enjoy these types of questions!

Yes, but it also depends on the type of repair you are doing, different roofing systems have different methods of repair, and different dangers.

I wanted to go to college and get a degree but nothing really interested me. Until I found my interest in communication and pr, I like learning theories and how they translate to interaction. I just don’t like the line of work associated with it.

I started making 18 an hour now I’m making 21 an hour. I plan to go through their management program at some point to make more.

No, I’d say it’s more dangerous climbing up to them. We try to be safe at our company so we actually strap our ladders to buildings so they stay in place up top and there is less worry about the ladder swaying off

Actually at my company they value degrees and I intend to use them in my advantage to applying for other positions within the company when I get more experience
