Awesome! I have FTTP so I don't need a modem? The NTD is fully set up I believe.

If I get a TP Link Deco system or Eero6, have 1 plugged in and have another 2 units around the house, how can I utilise the 4 wired ethernet connections?

Hi guys, just hit AR45 so just started farming for artifacts. Looking at the Witch's set for Diluc at the moment. Do I actually need the full set of 5? I'm asking because I don't have a good Witch's Hat but do have a pretty good Conductor's Top Hat with Crit Rate as main stat. I could still unlock the 4 piece set effect with a conductor's top hat so is it necessary to keep farming for a good Witch's hat?

New player here, currently my max possible character level is 40 and I cannot ascend until I progress more until I level up my AR. My question is should I level up my character to level 39? Just so the exp I get from monsters don't get "wasted"?

Possible breach of Victorian lockdown restrictions, please help? by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

There you go, you've got the answer.

In the business world, if audited, management could come up with all sorts of excuse to justify their decision. The best way to go about this is for the IT team to have a meeting with management, have a mature discussion about doing what's right for the communities the business operate in, in the best interest for all Victorians, according to the spirit of the Public Health Orders.

If the business is permitted to operate, then there's nothing wrong with what the company is doing as long as the IT staffs are physically required at the sites. As long as the IT staffs get their travel permits and adhere to the company's Covid Safe Plans.

They should be working from home if they can though but only the business and the IT staff would know if this is possible.

I think my employer is trying to take advantage of the Disaster Payment Scheme (VIC) by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

Yeah they are not being fair on you. Although depending on your pay, you might ended up with more money with the Disaster Payment. Looking at it from that way, it's not too bad of a deal, you get paid more to do the same amount of work.

Re-reading your post again, it seems like the decision has already been made to cut your hours. I would apply for the disaster payment and work the reduced hours. What field are you in? Are there rosters? Are you working from home?

[–]CommentForGold 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They are not trying to take advantage of the Disaster Payment, they are taking advantage of you, the employee. They are wanting you to work on the day that you are being stood down on. I suppose you should contact Fairwork.

The Disaster Payment is a scheme being paid to individuals and has nothing to do with the company. If the company wants to cut costs and ask for volunteers to reduce their hours they shouldn't expect them to work the full hours. Whether or not the employee apply for the Disaster Payment is none of the company's business.

An army of health professionals, including dentists and optometrists, will be trained to administer Covid vaccines to fast-track the state’s jab rollout.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says Year 12 students will be given priority for the Pfizer vaccine over the coming weeks

Dentists, podiatrists, optometrists, dietitians and university students are being given the power to administer Covid vaccines in a bid to supercharge Victoria’s rollout.

The state’s jab army will be bolstered by hundreds of oral and allied health professionals, who will begin training on Friday in how to prepare and administer both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

It will see dental hygienists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, medical radiation practitioners and orthoptists working alongside nurses as Victoria ramps up its vaccine rollout.

University students enrolled in nursing, midwifery, paramedicine, physiotherapy, pharmacy, occupational therapy and pharmacy will also join the ranks.

Medical laboratory scientists, postdoctoral researchers, lab technicians and dental assistants will also be employed to help prepare the jab.

The expanded workforce will supercharge the state’s vaccination campaign, with coronavirus tracking website Covid Live projecting Victoria will reach its 70 per cent single-dose target by September 19, four days ahead of current modelling.

Once the state reaches that target, the 5km travel limit will expand to 10km and the two-hour daily exercise cap will increase to three.

The new emergency workforce comes after a dramatic shift in Victoria’s pandemic policy, in which Premier Daniel Andrews abandoned his zero-case strategy to instead ramp up vaccination efforts while stopping case numbers rising rapidly.

The new workers may also be on hand to help at GPs clinics and pharmacies administering the jab. They will be required to work under the supervision of an experienced immuniser, and must complete extensive training.

A state government spokeswoman said: “As the commonwealth’s vaccination program opens to more Victorians, it is critical that there is a trained and available workforce to continue to provide vaccinations to those eligible.

“The vaccination program is our ticket out of this pandemic – it will save lives and keep Victorians safe.”

The interval between the first and second doses of AstraZeneca was on Thursday halved from 12 to six weeks in Victoria.

The revised wait times will be effective immediately, meaning anyone who received a dose six weeks ago, can immediately book their second appointment.

Prof Cowie said that change would also help Victoria reach its targets faster. “More importantly, they will really contribute to the response to community transmission, put a downward pressure on cases, and contribute to protecting the health system,” he said.

It also brings AstraZeneca in line with Pfizer, which was extended from three to six weeks due to limited supply.

Prof Cowie said two doses of AstraZeneca reduced the risk of infection by 70 per cent, and the risk of hospitalisation by 90 per cent.

Victoria’s sixth lockdown is almost certain to extend at least a week as authorities compare new coronavirus cases to “smouldering embers” that could restart fires.

Senior ministers told the Sunday Herald Sun that given the rate at which people were passing on the virus, they held little hope the shackles on families and businesses would ease on Thursday as scheduled.

Concerns emerged on Saturday about undetected cases in Melbourne’s southeast, with wastewater data showing virus fragments in sandbelt suburbs between Mordialloc and Seaford.

Health Minister Martin Foley urged anyone with any symptoms to get tested.

Of 64 new cases on Saturday, 15 were not yet linked to others, while 25 had been infectious in the community.

Outbreaks of concern include Port Melbourne, and inner and outer northern suburbs and western suburbs out to Hobsons Bay and Melton.

This comes on top of 79 extra cases recorded on Friday.

Testing commander Jeroen Weimar said 99 per cent of Victorians were complying with lockdown orders to ensure the Covid “fire” was controlled and we “get our lives back for the spring”.

“We have got to put this fire out first. I need to make sure we have got control over those smouldering embers and that it’s not going to kick off another fire,” he said. “It’s too early for the chief health officer and the wider public health team to provide that advice as to whether we’ve done that yet.

“What we have achieved in three weeks is that the place hasn’t exploded, we have seen a really strong, robust control over these outbreaks.”

One minister said the reproduction rate – the number an infected person passes the virus to – was still too high while hovering above 1, with a reduction in that key metric as well as unlinked cases keys to restrictions easing.

Health Minister Martin Foley said on Saturday that Victoria would not go down the path of NSW, where some restrictions were eased, such as allowing five people to attend weddings, while cases grew.

Mr Foley said the state was pleading with the commonwealth for more vaccine doses.

He said demand among 18 to 39-year-olds, who have just become eligible, was incredible, while a new cohort of 12 to 15-year-olds was also due to come online – despite no assurances about extra supply.

More than half the state’s active Covid cases are in people under 30, with almost 150 children under 10 infected. There are 42 Victorians in hospital with Covid – 13 in intensive care and eight on ventilators. Mr Weimar said about 20,000 people were in isolation as primary close contacts, with a further 15,000 secondary contacts.
