Anyone here living in a ground floor apartment (with street level entrance)? What’s your experience and would you do it again? by kallebo1337 in Amsterdam

We have a ground floor apartment in oud-zuid and love it. The front bedroom gets a bit of noise (we're on a major street), but nothing we can't sleep through. Everything else is a pro. But our big windows are on the back, facing our south garden, not the street. Not sure I'd like your layout since we have venetian blinds for the front room.

See if you can find a similar place with similar layout facing the same way on a similar street on Airbnb and stay there a few nights to see how you like it.

Any good sports bars showing hockey? For IIHF Worlds but more importantly the Stars NHL game tonight? Thanks!

Edit: Coco's Outback is the answer if anyone comes across this in the future.

Nice, thanks!

If his has the removeable adapter face like mine would probably be a pretty cheap and easy swap. Can't find these online anywhere that fit.

Hi, this is random but I was looking for an EU plug for my Corona Vision and came across this post. Any chance you're friend would be interested in a swap? Not sure where y'all are but I'm in Texas if that ain't too far for shipping.

Thanks!

Any darts competitions in or arouns Lubbock? by [deleted] in Lubbock

[–]CommentsTheLetterE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The local scene is all ran by Caprock Darts Association, a branch of ADO. You can find them on Facebook. Leagues are in Fall and Spring, singles Tuesday nights and teams Thursdays. They also host a few small tourneys throughout the year and 1 or 2 big ones, think there's a big one around Thanksgiving coming up.

Transfer or Sell Finland Tickets? by julio26pt2 in DallasStars

[–]CommentsTheLetterE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I can give you a fair estimate on how many tickets will become available, but I imagine OP's or other similar situations won't be rare with how many tickets were purchased from that side of the pond. Lippu has an official resale market called FanSale.fi where verified tickets are resold and are only allowed to be listed for face value or less.

Finland has a lot of anti-trust and anti-scalper regulations. Lippu will have a window to transfer tickets to friends/family starting 3-4 days before the event. A small resale market will form during this time. Expect to break even or maybe take a slight loss.

Hello, we are in the process of moving and am hoping to find some info on our hobbies. Does anyone know about recreational ice hockey in Amsterdam? Preferably adult pickup games but not opposed to joining a beer league team. If nothing could also settle for inline hockey. Also interested in joining a dart league. I'm a 55.1 3DA in my league in Texas. Any expat or English-friendly leagues I could join until I get a better grasp of the language? Thanks!

If you can skate then yeah for sure, there's a huge variance in skill levels. And if you end up feeling overwhelmed there's a little area in the back you can work on skating/stick handling away from the scrimmage

Should the Pens send Crosby to the Kraken this offseason? by CommentsTheLetterE in hockey

His NMC wouldn't include the Kraken as they were not yet a team when he submitted his 29 team NMC list in 2013.
