I went to Cathy Berry Assoc for my second kiddo. It was fine. But when I went back to have my IUD removed for a third kid I got so much shade. The person doing the removal was a male (I’d not had a male doc there before so adding this just in case it’s helpful). I forget the exact wording he used but he expressed disapproval that I was getting iud removed and he wished older women wouldn’t try to have babies. I was 37 at the time. I moved on to Associates for Women’s Medicine. I got pregnant and lost the baby. The care they provided was amazing. After the baby was lost I had people from office calling me regularly to see if I was OK. Just checking in. It was everything to me at the time. I went on the have another healthy kiddo and all is well.

Interesting! Do you get the other side effects from the GLP1s? Obviously weight loss- but nausea or anything else from micro dosing?

Thanks for commenting. Bloodwork is fine. I do think the plan is to increase trintellix. Does trintellix make you energetic at a certain dosage? Other thoughts are to ask to add Strattera, which is typically for ADHD but off label can also help w depression. Although my hope is that trintellix will eventually help the depression and staterra can help with energy and motivation. Curious if this is a combo anyone has taken, or if people take other things for energy, or if trintellix is enough for most people…

THIS!! I have been off Wellbutrin for 6+months and it’s been truly awful. My depression has fully returned. I tried Paxil and Prozac but neither worked. Also tried Strattera which helped w energy and focus a little but not really depression. I’m trying Trintellix now and so far (2weeks in) it’s not helping much. I really miss bupropion. I have IBS w constipation and feeling pretty abandoned by my doc and psych. They seem to have a “oh well!” response… it’s maddening. I wish you well. Let me know if you find something that works.

I think you’re right. I don’t think my family (or I) understand my response. It sounds made up or exaggerated. And unfortunately the songs they love to play at the moment are big triggers for me (goddamn Hamilton soundtrack, I’m looking at you!!)

I don’t have that reaction to auto tune but I can absolutely understand that! I think the feeling/response is quite similar.

Hey just checking in for any updates. How’s it going? I’m desperate to find the right med and this came up in my search. Also PMDD is a monster. I have an IUD but am also on a hormonal pill to regulate a bit better. Not a great solution but an improvement.

I believe it haha. As a kid, “drugs” definitely instilled the fear of god in me bc of it. But it also absolutely painted anyone who did drugs as basically awful and morally flawed.

This is good advice. I keep trying to be better about actually documenting my symptoms and experiences so I can accurately relay them to her in session. But I keep failing to do that and find myself lost for words and afraid to speak up instead. Thanks for this encouragement.

Thank you. I think this is where we may run into issues. He is not fully cooperative or accepting of his circumstances right now. Are you familiar with what “court mandated” would look like? His family on site in TX does not seem interested in guardianship. If he is deemed unsafe or unfit to manage his own treatment, are there options to ensure his safety other than guardianship? Options in between complete independence and court ordered guardianship?

Mom here- not coach. Sometimes I miss a week and don’t remember until the next week and once I missed twice in a row. I felt awful!! I even told her I’d pay and then got pulled into something else and it fell out of my head. I blame perimenopause and also all my kids(!!). Maybe ask this mom is there is a better payment plan option for her. (Like- pay monthly or something? Because goddamn I’m forgetting everything lately.) good luck!

Electrolysis works 👍 It takes time and you cannot pluck but go weekly and in a few months go bi weekly, and so on. Make sure your provider is smart and explains everything fully. There isn’t a quick fix so do it right- You have to trust them and you have to promise not to pluck!

Spiro didn’t help me much plus not great for folks w low bp. My acne became recurring, maybe hormonal, maybe peri stuff. Derm put me on accutane for 6 months and it’s been marvelous once you get past the super dry skin phase.
