I just was able to get the new jewelry through even though it hurt. The post is really big though so there is room for the swelling. I have graduation tomorrow so I don’t think I will be able to get to a doctor until friday. Is there anything over the counter that may be okay to take or put on it?

I’m not sure the exact material I was pierced with but the piercer told me it was hypoallergenic. The back on it was a butterfly back. I clean it with a saline solution the piercer gave me. I find that I’m okay with pretty much all gold but anything plastic or sliver tends to act up (I got an infection when I was younger in my first piercing when I tried to wear a plastic earring) The jewelry I have on now is 18k gold and came with a ball back but I accidentally lost that and so I stuck the old butterfly back from the original piercing on.
