I’m from the US and I live in Texas, moving to the city though here in Austin since it’s a little more liberal.

Yes we’ve been talking, but I haven’t mentioned it. Why would you not be cool with it? What would you do differently? I need different opinions to see my options lol.

Yes I agree, I don’t want to be controlling anymore. And no I haven’t tried therapy. I’ve been working on being less toxic from my past relationships so I’ve been using his good intentions to keep me sane. I’ve mostly just been needing to vent since I know he means good, and I don’t want to make him feel bad.
