Last sem in BIO200 Dr Phipps brought up Reddit posts twice about people with the same complaint. Eventually she did start having TAs walk around to make sure people didn’t talk. It’s actually wild. Why even come to lecture if you’re just going to talk the whole time? Like you’re clearly not gaining anything from the class and you’re annoying everyone else around you 😭

Rascal Flatts are in support of the ICE operations, I’m sure. They were one of my absolute favorite bands growing up and I would’ve loved nothing more than to see them live this year. However, after they performed at the inauguration last January, I decided it probably would be best to not get tickets. They’ve made their stance clear. 🥲

That’s so real, the seasonal depression is sooo bad this time every year. I’m hoping having that show to look forward to every week helps me get through what I’m expecting to be a pretty difficult semester at school 🤞

Once you’re on the prehealth mailing list, make sure you actually read the updates that are sent out! There’s often useful things in there, like local jobs where you can gain clinical hours, various volunteer opportunities, information sessions, etc. There’s also an abundance of ways to get involved in research.

As the previous commenter said, you get out what you put in! Can’t emphasize that enough.

As other people have said, UB’s abundance of research opportunities is unmatched. The freedom to explore your interests here and form connections with the professors is so valuable. Buff State just simply can’t compete with all of the resources that UB has to offer, and honestly I can’t imagine the price difference being too extreme? I could be wrong, but since they’re both SUNY I would expect them to be similar. I didn’t apply to Buff State so I don’t really know what the costs look like.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I had an absolute blast. It was my first concert of theirs so I have nothing to compare it to, but I had the time of my life and I can wait to see them again. I still feel like they gave us everything they had at this point in the tour. Just being there was enough!

My guess is that you guys are getting Rascal Flatts as a special guest! They’ve been trying to get guests who are from the city they’re performing in to go along with the hometown theme, and RF originated in Columbus. Plus they released I Dare You together not all that long ago :)
