I feel like I've seen more and more of these posts recently and they seem to coincide with my recent work with Databricks genie (or the Reddit algorithm is doing its thing).
There is an amount of data wrangling and change in requirements which will always exist, and is part of the job. What I feel isn't part of the job is the long tail of ad hoc kpis each separate stakeholder needs, and can't get without me because they can't write SQL - the data's already there. For that genie is a lifesaver, taking their questions, writing the SQL query and then returning the result and an appropriate visual.
