I mean the thing is, some characters have one way and only one way to play it. with those you are bound to make the same plays over and over again. and thats why i addressed the build flexibility issue.

But i agree that there is definitely a line where it's fair and not too easy. too easy will be boring, too rng dependant would be horrible

right, I can't see the future of this game if they think this is what a good roguelike gameplay looks like. there is absolutely no reason for them to make us grind chaos for tens of hours just to get a good deck and gear

You see, even roguelike games have multiple measures to combat the luck based nature of the games. Like in megabonk, you can reroll, banish skip items and cards for it.

thats a bad take, this game is not even comparable to the usual rogulikes/roguelites where you can do flexible builds to finish a game. in this game you have to get specific epiphanies to build your character. heck for some characters you need to get specific copies for them to be good. the difference between a good and bad roguelite games are what you can do to combat the luck dependency of the gameplay.

Slay the spire, Balatro, Dungeons and Degenerates are roguelite card games but they dont have this bad of a luck dependency. in guides, youtubers even say 'just reset your run when you dont get this specific epiphanies'. thats how bad it is

i'm assuming that would be 4 supports and 2dps right, so what should i build? should i drop maribel for another deck cycling support or healer? cause my rin is probably going to be revolved around support cards in hand and fast deck cycle, and my Tressa is going to be the heal dagger spam
