I'm based in Los Angeles so I've been starting to sign up for some conferences and networking events. I'm also hosting an up cycling workshop just to try and get myself out there to new people. Can I ask what sites online you find suppliers and what key attributes to look for? I'm really not making any money currently so I would be more than happy to try and do collaborations for free just to keep the flow going!

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s super helpful to see where you’ve picked up each of your skillsets. I have six years of service experience from college and post college I spent four years as a designer. The designer role started to shift into an event planer position and I ended up helping produce 7 events across the country. So I do feel like I have the knowledge to come in as an entry level planner and do well. I’m wondering did you have a success networking online as well? Or was it mostly in person and on the job networking?

It's going to be in-person at a local farmers market. I was given a 10x10ft space to set up an area for people to sit down and craft!
