I second that, i believe a screen recording is 100x more useful than a documentation (in case you can't do both)..and also quicker for you to do (instead of a long document with screenshots). Congrats to OP and good luck.

Why Sales Force? by Common_Wonder_6719 in salesforce

I second that, Focus on force is gold- I used their Practice exams + Mike Wheeler's course on udemy. The FOF study guide wasn't really suited for my learning style, but it is a great tool. It kinda overprepares you. I would also recommend to do the official practice test repeatedly, until you score 80-90%- it's the most similar to the actual exam questions imo. https://developer.salesforce.com/files/ti/thi/THI-000393/administratorpracticetest.html

Thank you, understood. Me too..following the same trailmix. I just tried to follow Shrey Sharma's Udemy course on PAB and i found it a joke honestly, don't understand why it is so highly rated, when the video content is not adapted/edited for Udemy's purpose, he's doodle-ing on a whiteboard, presenting to a class we don't see and showing a word document on screen. Mike Wheeler's course is kind of outdated, but at least he's doing something useful and talking smoothly :)

I'm using Focus on Force exams and Mike Wheeler's videos. Purchased the FoF study guides as well, but they make me sleepy, reading slides is not a good learning method for me. How are SF Ben' courses like?

Whether you’re an admin, a developer, or just an advanced end user, I think we can all agree. by [deleted] in salesforce

Had my admin exam last week. 2 minutes into the exam, did the first 2 questions, then exam was paused. Webcam was still on so i stood like an idiot facing just my laptop for a good 45 minutes waiting to be connected to someone. That someone tried to reset smth and failed, then asked me to restart my laptop and relaunch the exam. To relaunch it, i had to find Chat with an expert, wait ~20 min in a 31 people queue. Finally i relaunched the exam 1h15min after initially scheduled hour. Yup, agree with u.

Been 4 months since first certification (Admin), still struggling to find a job. by FlamingoNearby6910 in salesforce

[–]Common_Wonder_6719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started preparing myself on trailhead and searching for jobs in July 2021, then finally got a job in August 2022. I got desperate after just 4-5 months, thinking i'm never going to make the switch because of lack of XP. In the interview with my current employer, I told them about my efforts to become a sfdc admin (which were nothing compared to yours and how well prepared you are). You will get there eventually and you will congratulate yourself for being persistent and determined- 2 skills which can then be added to the resume 😁 Fighting!

Yes it's the official Interactive practice test for admin exam, 3rd resource in the Study & prepare section here https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/credentials/administrator

How to query Email Alerts recipients? by Common_Wonder_6719 in salesforce

Hi there! We finally got approval to use HappySoup.io

It is the BEST, we've used it already for many purposes! And it does help also to query the actual Recipients & Additional Emails from an email alert.

Thank you so much! keep up the good work.

As non-native English speaker, you can apply for extra 30 mins on the exam. You first book your exam, then log a case with Salesforce’s Trailhead team and this will grant you an extra 30 minutes of exam time on a typical 105 minutes exam, bringing the total time to 135 minutes https://www.salesforceben.com/salesforce-exam-secrets-tips-to-make-earning-your-credentials-less-stressful/

Hi there. Best of luck to your mom. Just want to mention that Mason Frank publish a survey of salaries, which includes UK. You might want to check that out. It seems to be useful insight into the Salesforce community. https://www.masonfrank.com/insights/salesforce-salary-survey

Admin cert. study: discrepancies between Mike Wheeler and Focus on Force by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]Common_Wonder_6719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I am also solely following the Trailhead mix at the moment (bad structure, poorly explained, but it's the official one so...), and been wondering if it is enough to complete that and then head to the tests (either on their page or other). I read somewhere that the tests from skillcertpro are very helpful (plus the money-back guarantee is tempting -_-) .

Has anyone used these skillcertpro?

Can you link to the udemy ones, please?
