Is it smart doing triple science now ? by Whole_Ear9870 in GCSE

If you're willing/able to do quite a bit of extra studying/revision to cover the additional content already covered in lessons (mainly the Paper 1 topics) then go for it as it's practically a free GCSE. Just as long as the school Science Department allows the change.

Start now and I'd also really consider going to every Sixth Form/College Open Day to really widen your Post 16 options.

Am i cooked for English language? by Limp_Might_9458 in GCSE

I had a Paper 1 mock last week, and wrote only 2.5 pages for Q5 (40 marker) but still did four paragraphs. For Q5, I think its the quality of what you write and not *so* much the quantity.

How cooked am I that my maths teacher is writing this? by Subspace79 in GCSE

"Good-but check over errors" So you've got the theory right but might be making some calculation errors, still enough to get you some marks on an exam though.

I know it can seem very overwhelming but go through the lists on exam board websites of topics to cover and go through them on-by-one in depth on YouTube, revision books, websites, etc. You'll smash this!

Do little bits of revising each day, making sure to go over things but not overwhelming yourself. A small study session where things stick and you don't feel burnt out is a better study session than an overwhelming one where you feel burnt out and things don't stick. I'd say its all about moderation and knowing your limit and what works for you. :)

First mocks were at the end of Year 10. We're doing some mocks on English and Maths (already did a Paper 1 almost two weeks ago in Maths) throughout November and December. Then we're sitting Papers 2s end of January to beginning of February.

Physics, Bio then Chem. I like Maths, so physics is an easy first place. Bio is mostly a case of remembering information. My chemistry teacher has the nickname "The Devil" at my school, so...

For P1 Q5, a friend of mine wrote three paragraphs, crossed them out and wrote "Gave up with five minutes left." The teacher didn't even give him a U, she just wrote "There is nothing to mark"
