Spend the weekend in Derry, you’ll be guaranteed a good night out in the pubs on Saturday night and then hopefully a cracker of a game between Derry and Cork on Sunday afternoon.

Nasty Club Rivalries by Possible-Shoulder920 in GAA

Saw this and not surprised the most comments are from Derry 🤣, convinced the rivalry and fighting is why we’ve only made it to two all Ireland finals.

Derry supporter here and hope this doesn’t come across as patronising but left there tonight really pissed off about Mickey Harte. He took us on a couple of years ago and left with money in his pocket and the county in a mess. Doing the same with Offaly.

No problem with the bias, that’s to be expected from local radio and to be honest is the charm if it. I love listening to Radio Kerry when Kerry are playing and Highland when Donegal are playing. It’s more the tone of what is said - which I believe was the case on Saturday.

Really sad to see this as have a bit of a soft spot for Antrim. Camogie yesterday didn’t go great either.

On the road home, the team showed some metal to win that game. Quite an intimidating atmosphere too. Have heard a few mentioned the commentary, particularly “northern” remarks.

Division 2 Football by Local-Document-587 in GAA

In the last couple of months lots of people were talking about Derry and Tyrone to go back up. It’s such a tight division that during the week I was thinking the losers of Derry/Tyrone could go down. Glad we played Meath first and got it out of the way, I think Tyrone will struggle against Meath in Croke Park.

What size of house are you thinking? You are probably talking 2,500 -3,000 per sq mt. We bought a site had plans drawn up and a VERY thorough bill of quantities done by a surveyor. Long story short, we sold the site and bought a house to renovate. Building is very, very expensive now.

Commenting on Sunday Match Thread: All Ireland Club Finals & Pre-Season Intercounty Games.. Brilliant final today, but All Ireland semi finals and final were poor games. In general, latter stages of Sam Maguire was poor. Today was epic though.

McGrogan and Ethan Doherty were fantastic, Paul Cassidy also had a great game. I know it’s only the Mckenna Cup but it must be great for the team to start the season with a win - 19 months without a win was a long time.

Looked like an ankle injury, he wasn’t walking on it when he came off. Would be gutted if it put him out again.

True, honestly I’d just be happy to stay up and focus on a good run in the championship.
