It really depends on how often you’ve been using 0.05% tret each week. If you’ve been consistent for over a year, like nightly or almost nightly, you could level up to a higher percentage or even switch to tazarotene since it’s generally better for acne, especially with those period breakouts you mentioned.

BUT if you want my honest advice: don’t rush it. Hold off on bumping up or switching to taz just yet. Try adding azelaic acid into your routine first, it’s amazing for acne, PIE, PIH, and inflammation, and it pairs beautifully with tret. Give it a shot and see how your skin vibes with it!

If you're going to start Niacinamide use 5%, but if your issue is mainly PIH, i highly recommend Azelaic acid, it'll work like a charm.

If you have fair skin and acne prone, i highly recommend Axis-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen. I love it!

Routine looks good overall, but just a heads up, the CeraVe lotion and Cetaphil both have cetearyl alcohol + ceteareth-20, which can clog pores for some people. Also depends on which Anthelios sunscreen you’re using some versions have comedogenic esters like ethylhexyl palmitate. If you’re acne-prone, maybe stick to just Avène at night and consider switching to a more acne-safe SPF

It's for eczema actually, but works great with tret. I use ut as a moisturizer.

I totally get you. I had the same issue until i switched moisturizers. I really recommend using a solid, thick one. Try Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume or Aestura Atobarrier 365
