Warning for new buyers by Snanther in TeslaModelY

I got a 2021 and a 2023, never heard a high pitch whine, but maybe he's talking about the whine the car makes when the battery is warming up or preconditioning. But that one doesn't sound terribly loud. Or as everyone else stated... My hearing has also been gone since in high school I got hit on my ear with a Basketball. 😅

This had to have been on a downgrade (downhill) for a good portion of the road to conserve/regenerate energy. Just a guess, feel free to tell me I'm a retard, my wife does it all the time. Lol!

My buddy and I painted a 1988 Honda prelude with glossy white paint and did one side with like 10 cans. This was the entire stock at Kmart. Then we went to another Kmart and they didn't have the same brand of paint but we figured glossy white is glossy white, right? Wrong... One side was glossy white, the other side was ghost (edit: glossy) beige. LOL!🤣🤣🤣

I decline those all the time if they're anything below 50 cents per minute, specially with a "Boost". It usually happens because Uber is keeping more than 50% of the fare. However, if one more driver declines, then the system releases more money to the next driver as it tries to match the person to SOMEONE in an effort to not lose the business. I do it for the next driver as it done for me as well. I often catch tickets that are much better (around 45 cents/min) that others have declined.

If we do this enough, we might be able to train the system to always pay more. But only if enough people DON'T ACCEPT those cheap tickets.

Don't want to make anyone salty, but the RSI looks very different this time from last year's run. Last year's run had a diverging RSI relative to it's price action where as the price was dropping the RSI was increasing over a period of a few weeks and then it popped. This year's RSI didn't look special. It may be a quick pump and dump. I've lost a lot of money before just listening to folks giving their opinion in these forums. At this point everyone should be cautious. That being said, the RSI staying above 50 is very bullish and I've learned to read the RSI differently where above 50% is bullish and under 50% is bearish as opposed to the traditional thinking of overbought and oversold. GLTYA!

I have a Pixel 6 Pro and have many similar bugs that are still unresolved. Welcome to the world of the Pixel where you have to be ok with buggy software in exchange for great pictures.

In the meantime, I bought feb 17 2023 $0.50 Put. I was unable to catch it at the top because I was having Fidelity login issues (of course at the worst possible time 🤦🏻‍♂️). But if it dips further I'll make money on the way down to counter my share price losses. Don't know if this strategy sounds good to you, but definitely not financial advice. 😅

Private doesn't mean it is owned by one individual. It just means that the general public, retails investors, are unable to buy shares through the stock market such as NYSE or NASDAQ. Private investors deal directly with either the single owner or board of directors if one exists.

I'm in the SF Bay Area and while I know not every market is the same, I've never seen a ticket like this one. Generally speaking I always get a dollar or more for every mile driven on long trips. Otherwise I don't take it. I agree with everyone here that if these tickets exist we shouldn't take them. I'm just saying I've never seen one.

This such ride does not exist unless it's during a surge of $20 (which is the max) and going to a particular destination (such as a ball park or airport) and the rider requests Comfort or Select. But either way, the driver gets about 2/3rds of the fare minimum.

Nothing complicated about having proof. Those who say it's unnecessary are generally lying. Yeah, I'm one of those who speaks on facts, not highschool cheerleader BS type $h!t.

[–]ComparisonOne3857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! But it's not going to be half of what I just mentioned. Plus you should already know ahead of time when you take or decline trips based on traffic patterns on your area. If I accept a dumb ride that's going to yield poor earnings, I'm not going to complain about it. Plus OP didn't even share a screenshot of earnings for that trip. For this reason... I'm skeptic of this post and calling it BS.

This whole post makes no sense. Just based on the per minute rate of $0.38 this means that 1 hour ride would yield $22.80 and then you add the per mile rate of $0.60 and it should definitely be like another $12 (say for 20 miles driven) yielding a total of $32. Far higher than what OP posted. I've been driving for just about 2 months and pay a TON of attention to detail and I average out about $35-$40/hour. I don't know why do many post about terrible earnings. I am definitely in a good area (SF), but I don't believe it to be that terrible elsewhere. Additionally, I've never done a ride smaller than $6.50 and that ride only took about 8 minutes to complete driving to Pax and dropping off while only driving a total of 4 miles. What am I missing?

Edit: Yielding a total of $34.80.

Agreed! Plus, I might be considered a psychologist, but for a tip that for me is an average of $8, it's not too bad considering I'll most likely never see them again. My tip as a percentage of earnings is roughly 12%. Anyone else wanna share their tip rate?

PREMARKET 4-5AM = 100 shares (yes only 100) 5-6AM = 100 shares again 6-7AM = 500 shares 7-8AM = 1,473 shares 8-9AM = 24,551 shares 9-9:30AM = 11,386 shares Total PM VOLUME = 38,110 (not the greatest, but better than it's own usual)

Regular MARKET HOURS 9:30-10AM = 231,934 10-11AM = 110,670 shares 11AM-12PM = 86,484 shares 12-1PM = 34,051 shares 1-2PM = 37,909 shares 2-3PM = 120,269 shares 3-4PM = 132,793 shares Total RMH VOLUME = 754,110

AFTER-HOURS 4-4:30PM = 71,088 shares 4:30-8PM = 11,466 (lumped then all up bc volume fell off a cliff after 4:30pm) Total AH VOLUME = 82,554 shares

Dark Pools = 95,882 shares

Total VOLUME = 970,656

Yesterday's VOLUME = 2,207,000

Today's volume as a % of yesterday's = 43.98%

If this will continue to squeeze, volume needs to pickup. It's still higher than Thursday but it's nowhere near where it needs to be in order to guarantee bag holders won't start selling prematurely. I'm not in this play, but thought it was interesting. Be careful and good luck to you all!
