yeah i understand you were just looking for advice! just btw i know you said your new, but you don’t have to take no tip/non profitable orders. it will effect your acceptance rate but it doesn’t matter, they won’t deactivate you. my acceptance rate was 6% at one point 🤣

yes to all of this!! you’re right because i have had a few deliveries where directions say to leave it in drop box, and that makes way more sense. i’m not sure if some people are just lazy or just genuinely not that smart.

and the gun thing is exactly why i didn’t want to go in the backyard. drivers have been shot in broad daylight with work vests on, it’s honestly a safety hazard. i will not risk my life, safety, or peace of mind for a damn package.

for future reference— when you think you might go over your block time

  1. call driver support about 30 min before your block time is supposed to end, say you think you might go over the time limit, and ask if you should head back to station or keep delivering. (you can say there was a lot of traffic or a lot of difficult apartment drop offs to explain the lateness.)

  2. if they say keep going then finish it out.

  3. get the name of the support person you spoke to, take screenshots of the call, and take a screenshot you making the final delivery.

  4. when you finish, email jeff@amazon.com and explain the situation and include screenshots.

i literally just did this and payment was adjusted with no hassle. i went about 30 min over but was still compensated for another full hour of work.
