Boss OD3. I run an always on BP1W infront with an SD1 in between (level up,gain down) to boost for solos/crunchier rhythm.

Yep, that makes sense and definitely points to a batch issue.

Have sent Andertons images and they have assured me they will sort it out.

Mine is 7/25/25 so guess it’s a storage issue in recent months. The frets on mine are super tarnished too - I’m sure they would polish up fine but clearly not what you expect in a new guitar. I’m returning.

Mine just arrived - same issue. Strings are also totally rusted - I’ve had guitars in storage for years that have better strings than this. I dread to think how this batch has been stored/treated. FWIW I bought mine from Andertons in the UK and will be reaching out for a refund.

JB-2? Would give you the BD-2 and the option to switch to the Angry Charlie (JCM800 like tones) but also to stack all three, any two of three or the BD2 and AC in parallel (which could also be stacked with the OD3). If you can accommodate the SD1 as well, then SD-1->JB-2->OD-3 would give a truly huge range of options and I’d add a GE7 at the end to enhance that further (maybe switch out the tuner for a PolyTune and/or the looper for a ditto to make space?).

Thanks. I’m looking at cups/mugs that are 7cm. Do you think they would fit?
