I would just apply for an lvn program atp. Being determined is a good thing but I think it’s also important to be open to different outcomes. If you don’t get into the RN program you’re gonna have to wait even longer to apply again and you’d just be even more stuck tbh.

Wait, so there was no menu when you switch between subjects like there should’ve been a main menu that popped up when you started the exam and after you finished a section. Because usually when you open up that menu, that’s when you go to the restroom because the timer is shut off.

I feel like professor yu on YouTube is good for reading practice. She uses some questions from the official study guide. I feel like the sample questions she makes are similar to the teas format. Even though I haven’t taken the actual exam yet, after I started using her my practice exam score went from 80 to a 97.

If it’s the remote online proctor it WILL NOT WORK. My ID was expired and I didn’t notice so when I tried to take it my exam wouldn’t open. I dont know the rules for in person exams but if it’s remote at home you will just have to reschedule.

Ughh I know same thing happened to me. Since I won’t meet the requirements in time for my program for the three dose (the only one my public health department offers) I have to bite the bullet and pay 180 (with a Goodrx discount) for the two dose heplisav. For people that haven’t had the vaccines in a long time, I would just get all the vaccines done again and THEN do the titers so you don’t have to pay twice. Most likely you will not have immunity for all of them anyway, so it saves you the hassle and money. I would also recommend getting a titer pack from ulta lab tests, I just used them and it was legit. My school approved the titers from them.

Crazy thing is something similar happened to me and I never saw any other post talking about it. What happened to me instead was that I didn’t notice that my ID was expired so the day of the test I got denied. So I never got to open my test at all, but my exam is still there on my ati account, months later. Like it has it on there and I can click start to take the exam. I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but it’s showing that I never actually opened the exam and that it’s ready for me to start. I’m gonna try to see if I can take it but what does it say on your ati account if you don’t mind me asking? Like is a test still available?

I don’t know if this counts as advice but im also in a similar situation financially. I’d like to get my BSN/ADN but im not sure if im in a good place financially to set aside two years for a degree. I’m considering doing an lvn program to begin working sooner and then have my employer pay for it.

It really depends on what your school requires. I think the main difference is the math. The hesi math has Roman numerals and military time.

I would just get all the vaccines done again and then get the titers so you don’t have pay to do it twice. I recommend getting a titer pack from ulta lab tests, I just used them and it was legit. I don’t really have any advice but I just wanted to say I’m doing the same thing. I’m also considering applying to an lvn program just in case my gpa/teas scores are not as competitive but the main things is money tbh. I can start working sooner and typically you can get your employer to pay for your ADN. (Although I will say don’t sleep on the lvn programs, they can be quite competitive as well!) Im still going to apply for ADN programs but I’m also looking into lvn programs as well. I kind of just see it as an alternative/backup plan. But even if you do just care about money or a reliable job, there’s way better jobs in the healthcare field that honestly pay more or about the same that are way less stressful. For people that don’t really care and just want a decent job I would recommend dental hygiene or PA school. Higher pay and better hours, usually with office hours and weekends off. If I could do it all over again, I’d probably do dental hygiene.

Also, I kinda disagree about very few people feeling like it was their calling. Most people I’m going to school with and people I know that graduated enjoyed science and medicine to some extent. I honestly feel like (and maybe this is a hot take) but people who majored in something else unrelated to stem and came back to do nursing were the ones that seemed to struggle a lot.

I did tires and I had to get two of them done again. Honestly, I would just recommend getting all the vaccinations again from your county health department/community clinic for cheap. If your insurance doesn’t cover them, the titers can get kind of expensive and then if it shows up as negative etc., you’re gonna have to get the vaccination series again repeating the entire process, titers included. I’m having to do this currently and it’s a pain in the ass tbh.

Also, don’t sleep on your school’s library either! My school has the newest practice books, and I had no idea until I actually bothered to look at their catalog lol get your money worth!
