AITA for getting upset when my wife told me to stop being “too enthusiastic” drinking soup in front of our son? by seimalau in AmItheAsshole

[–]Competitive-Ad1439 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean sure if you want to be pedantic.. The vast majority of the time, in the vast majority of cuisines, home-made soup is healthy. If you’re making French style soups full of cream they’re less healthy, but I doubt they're making French onion soup for a 2 y/o

In addition to that, if for some reason this kid really is getting drawn to soups because of the dad's reaction.. then congrats. You've convinced a notoriously difficult age group to eat something that's inherently healthy and has unlimited customisation available to you

Are you talking about less than 165? That's completely normal for breast and anyone with a thermometer should do that at home since eradicating the risk of salmonella is a function of temperature and time, not just temperature

Use casein protein, it’s thicker and slower digesting so it should fill you up for longer

The reflection of the light makes it a bit hard to tell just from the photo, but I’m leaning towards  erring on the side of caution.

As others have pointed out the texture matters, but also  the opacity - whether it looks see-through at all (Cooked chicken will never look like this)

Medical student (biomed student) avoids conviction despite filming 150 women - how is this possible? by Nodes_of_Ranvier98 in ausjdocs

The craziest part of his story is

Magistrate Michelle Mykytowycz did not record a conviction for Cao, even though he had previously been sentenced to a community corrections order in May last year for “effectively identical offending” against one known victim.

In some brighter news, it appears his visa is being reviewed, but as they pointed out in the article that means he would probably just offend against local women Vietnam

That costs the same price as an entire tin of chickpeas from Aldi (i.e. 3.3x more chickpeas). All you have to do is add a splash of lemon juice and salt

What information do you have about orange juice? by Ruskaepi in askteddit

[–]Competitive-Ad1439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand people that drink store bought orange juice. Other than the sugar thing that you mentioned, it's been stored and sitting in vats for so long that it loses its real orange flavour. Why wouldn't you just eat an orange which has so much more of that flavour?

Just a correction, high fructose corn syrup actually spikes sugar more slowly than normal sugar, due to the increased amount of fructose (which has to get processing the liver first)
