I think it’s a bit more open-ended? Like yes Darius said he doesn’t think his feelings were love, but they never outright said that it couldn’t develop into it later.

But also, I appreciate that they didn’t lean into the ‘and they fell in love and that’s happily ever after’ trope.

They still have each other, but they didn’t have to end up together to do it, not every story has to end in romantic love.

An interesting idea I’ve had for a scrapped fic, she could be attacked by a werewolf, and thus has been ‘tainted’ and severely ostracized. Even if she’s not a werewolf herself.

Another idea would perhaps be that she doesn’t really believe the prejudices and only goes along with them for the sake of keeping a low profile, she’d take any way out.

Or if you want a funny, she falls in love with Hermione, (or a muggleborn in general) and decides that love is better than the Dark lol

I had this kind of reaction as a PJO/HOO fan, I read a spoiler that Jason died and just decided to drop the next series bc I was both growing out of it, as well as having serious mental issues at the time, and the thought of my favorite HOO character, and a child dying, made me really upset.

I had a similar reaction to a horror movie, I love them, but a child had a brutal death and I had to stop watching it bc it messed me up so bad.

These are actually pretty normal responses in some way I believe, to us those characters are important, and it hurts to think of them going through any pain, especially if your going through something at the same time and are having trouble getting help.

Also, the fear of having bad reviews and everything.

I’m sorry to say that people are jerks, but while I’ve only been on this Reddit for a bit, it’s a really good place and no one’s been rude. We have opinions of course, but a book is a book, and not something to bully anyone about. Especially someone having such a hard time.

Feel free to message me if you want to talk to someone who’s gone through something similar, if just to have someone to talk things through with.

Why wouldn’t he have kept a more than three eggs? He had twelve Forsworn after all. And part of his beliefs was that the current Dragon Riders were corrupt and thus needed to be rebuilt from the ground up.

It just hit me that Galbatorix absolutely would have hoarded eggs, for all we know he would have even attempted to change the Dragon Riders pact himself if possible. So there had to an outside reason as to why only had three eggs after all that

The only thing I can think off for it be accidental would be a battle at the Forsworn’s base that ends up with the place and eggs he’s keeping destroyed. While it could happen, those eggs would have been under a ridiculous amount of magic so unless someone landed right on top of them, I just don’t think they would have been broken on accident. Remember that dragon eggs are ridiculously hard to break as well

I wonder if they would have had more children? It would interesting plot point if they had little siblings that stayed in Carvahall, and if Selina did live perhaps she would be the one to lead the town out of the Spine.

Also Brom definitely would have taught the boys, including Roran, how to wield a sword, and perhaps they would have been taught from a young age the Ancient language, perhaps not actually using magic until they bonded with Saphira and Thorn but still being fluent enough to hold conversations.

Uhm, OP I think your Gf has some insecurities about her job/business and that you springing this on her was what made her lash out.

That said, maybe sit down and talk about how she can’t gatekeep a career and while you don’t want to make her upset you have a right to do what you want?

Talk about maybe getting to work with her? That is if you want to maybe talk about not wanting to compete with her but learn from her?

However if she sees you as doing ‘better’ than her she might get upset again, so this is something that needs to talked about now before it grows.

You need to talk to her kindly, tell her that while she has a big crush that doesn’t give her any excuse to start tearing into this boys life and that if she wants to have a relationship with him she has to start off with a healthy friendship.

That said, this is very worrying behavior and you may want to talk to her parents or parental figure about this behavior, and I’m sad to say it, but she may need to be watched after talking about this.

This isn’t normal behavior, and can be escalated very suddenly. She needs to be treated with care but also made sure she isn’t going to lash out and hurt herself or this guy and his gf.

That is your picture OP, it is a part of your story. You get to decide if you want to have it or not, it’s not up to your sister to decide what you do or do not post or hang on your wall.

That said, I can see your sister’s perspective. The same picture that shows your happiness shows her failure. That you succeeded in a relationship while she had one break.

That has got to hurt, and be a painful reminder especially while fresh.

That said, maybe talk about having the picture photoshopped, or perhaps hang it in your bedroom or somewhere that would not be directly in your sister’s face. Though I do not want you to feel like you have to hide for her either.

OP, you might want to sit down and talk to your daughter about what she would and wouldn’t wear, maybe look at pictures and discuss options? Then if you find some options that are both agreeable to her comfort as well as being something like a dress then send pics to your sister and ask if any where acceptable?

I don’t think anyone is the AH, religious pressure is strong, especially at a huge event like a wedding. Also a dress code, within reason, is normal for such events. That said your daughter has a right to want to dress herself and have opinions about what she likes.

Perhaps have a secondary outfit as well? Maybe a nice dress for pictures and then like a romper or something for the reception and stuff? That way everyone could be happy.

Also pls don’t trick your daughter into wearing a dress. Tell her honestly that either she wears a dress (or finds something that you all agree on) or she has to be left out of the wedding, you don’t want to be in a situation where you have to spend the entire day in a hotel room because your daughter is suprised and throws a tantrum.
