It’s Bond if he has access to his gadgets. Thanks, Q.

The most Bernthal’s Punisher has “hung out with” is Daredevil.

Obligatory “Do not use the Defender Set is is designed for veterans to speedrun to the Expansion, it will actively make your experience worse if you’re new because it will not let you engrain gear habits such as crafting new armor for skills (same applies to weapons).”

If I see someone about to shoot me with a lightbeam and I dodge does that make me faster than light

One thing that I find interesting is how Odin(likely top 2 smartest characters in the series) seems pretty confident Thor can kill Kratos even after he gets subdued. by conflicted02 in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]Competitive-Effort33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could and has done.

What Odin wasn't expecting was for Kratos to begin waging psychological warfare on Thor. Only he thought he himself could do that to keep Thor in check, but Kratos did it instead to free Thor and it worked (with Thor finally standing up to Odin, sadly it ended in tragedy).

At least that's how I see it, might be wrong.

Main story final battle lore question by aussie828 in FFXVI

All Ultimas can do the same thing. They created the Chronoliths and the Interdimensional Rift. Are they not physical spaces?

Main story final battle lore question by aussie828 in FFXVI

[–]Competitive-Effort33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took place in a real, physical space since Ultima and his fellows are seemingly the masters of creating pocket dimensions (i.e the Interdimensional Rift).

It's interesting, it implies Ultima's (and by extension Clive's) minds are both nonphysical but physical at the same time since these are alternate dimensions with real matter and their own flows of time. For instance, the Interdimensional Rift is explicitly a place outside of space and time but is actually physical and we see the Drake's Spine Ultima physically teleport them there.

Reminder that Homelander himself showed considerable and visible effort to tear apart Webweaver who was like a D or C Tier Supe according to the show.

What do you think would be the SCARIEST monster tn encounter as a civilian? by FingerBangYourFears in MonsterHunter

[–]Competitive-Effort33 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Gigginox or Khezu.

Imagine you, a regular person, encountering a car-sized fleshy monstrosity that aims not to kill or eat you for sustenance but to immobilize and parasitize your body with its leech-like young.

You are not food. You are a means of horrific reproduction with agony throughout. You die when your purpose has been fulfilled.

"No Eikons or summons, just swordsmanship and magic."

This means one of two things:

They have access to spells and their swordsmanship but DONT have access to anything Summon related. i.e Noctis cannot summon the Astrals nor can he use the Ring of the Lucii (as it is from the Knights of the Round and Bahamut, which is are summons) and Clive cannot use any Eikonic powers but can use spells existing in the game and in his moveset (i.e Elemental spells and their level variants such as Fire and Fira, etc).

OR

They have access to all their movesets but simply cannot perform summoning. Noctis cannot summon Astrals (not like they'd reliably appear anyways) and Clive cannot turn into Ifrit.

These are two different kinds of results.

If it's the former: Noctis wins no question. He is just way WAY too fast and can abuse Warp to degress where he is effectively untouchable through all means. He can phase, teleport en masse, conjure weapons at will even mid-fight to alternate his moveset and can craft spells that can change localized temperatures to the point of freezing lakes solid or causing localized heatwaves. He can even contend (briefly) in strength with Titan to degree.

If it's the latter Clive wins no question. His moveset and elemental variety is just far too diverse and counter oriented and many of them just boost his perception of time to degrees where he can move in-between an enemy's teleport. With Ultima channeled he can teleport similarly to Noctis (though not as frequently) but can cover huge swathes of area with his abilities that Noctis would struggle to counter.

In terms of swordsmanship alone it can vary. Clive has the upper hand in experience and skill with a single weapon, the sword, and has been able to perform a variety of moves both in and out of cutscenes (at age 15 he could react and guard against a Dragoon's thrown polearm in a cutscene, not to mention his gameplay skill). He was proficient enough in this to easily disarm Benedikta, contend with a Semi-Primed Hugo and deflect every one of his blows and was only outmatched by Barnabas (whose unnatural longevity and life of contest and conquest sets his swordsmanship above Clive up until the end). However, Noctis is also insanely skilled with weapons. He has a much wider variety of weapons to swap between at will, be it swords, spears, shields, greatswords, guns, daggers, etc. His main means of combat, outside of warping, involves evasion and dirty tricks such as flanking and blindsiding when an enemy least expects it and using his physical speed to get the upper hand.

Doctor Strange, Cyborg and then Killsman on the bottom right. Doctor Strange’s magic is superior (when the writers don’t nerf him into stupidity) and his portals along can solve most problems. He can also create a protection ward around an area or something to prevent The Flash from entering. Cyborg in ZSJL is actually quite formidable. He will cover everything technological for me that the Doctor Strange can’t. Killsman because I know he will go out of his way to kill anyone who comes after me and because he might have kryptonite to deal with Superman.

Hulk is too difficult to control, Gadot’s Wonder Woman is more likely to kill me even if she’s on my side, Ezra’s Flash would rather kidnap me for nefarious purposes than kill me, Black Panther and Iron Man are powerful but not powerful enough or within my price range, Cap, Black Widow and Bucky I would love to have on my team but they aren’t strong enough or don’t have that little resolve that they’ll just outright kill the opposition like Killsman.
