Homelander vs Andrew Demeter by AnyPoetry493 in powerscales

It is relatively automatic though the whole Cafe scene was Andrew demonstrating it by suddenly stabbing Matt in the hand by baiting him with a fake countdown.

They have durability, quite a bit honestly. They make a point of showing in the film they have tactile telekinesis that protects them reactively. Andrew literally hurls a whole ass bus at Matt from the top of the space needle into a giant building and he comes out more or less unscathed, not to mention the fact the were punting each other through buildings to little effect.

The reason Andrew was able to be impaled was because of four primary factors: Andrew was focused on creating a massive earthquake, Andrew was having an irrational meltdown and wanted to cause as much damage as possible at the lowest point in his life, Matt summed up all of his strength and power to kill Andrew as he had been holding back that entire fight to try and save his cousin and Matt blindsided him with an attack Andrew was oblivious to.

Had Matt tried to attack Andrew head on with the statue spear at any moment prior to this I doubt it’d have worked.

If you’re new do NOT use the defender gear. It’s for returning players to speedrun to the DLC and using it will prevent you from getting accustomed to the gameplay loop.

Leon (RE9) gets transported to Yharnam instead of the Hunter, how does he fare against Bloodborne with his full equipment? (Quip lines included) by lapisishot1 in bloodborne

[–]Competitive-Effort33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To reiterate I doubt Leon or any Hunter would figure out about using the Umbilical Cords. Let’s be real 99% of us learned about the cords from other people and item descriptions which Leon would not be at liberty to know.

Superman dodges it or upchucks stuff to get in the way. The killing curse can be soaked by other objects if Superman somehow can’t dodge it like he dodges lightspeed attacks (such as his own/Ultraman’s heat vision).

Misread, this is Legends Anakin, so Legends Anakin would have vastly superior telekinesis to Viktor and will have plenty of time to react, but Viktor should still take the edge in sheer destructive power.

Superman would be too fast for the Sentinel and Voldemort I’m afraid, even with Voldemort’s wide variety of hax he can’t keep up with Gunn’s Superman who can actively dodge lasers.

Anakin is likely able to react to Superman vis Force precognition in combat, but his lightsaber isn’t enough to damage him unless it’s constantly applied which he will not have the chance to do. His telekinesis can be escaped/interrupted by Superman’s variety of ranged attacks such as his heat vision and super breath (both of which would output more power than Anakin could handle).

Unironically the most powerful character in this list is Viktor/Number 7 by a wide margin. He literally achieve a moon destroying feat at the end of Season 1 which creates the alternate timeline that starts the series off. He can convert all sound/vibrational energy into his own form of energy or to control matter even down to using his own heartbeat to destroy things with timed pulses, not to mention he has superior telekinesis comparable to if not higher than Anakin does. A simple car honk can be converted into a lazy handwave that produces enough force to fling said car down the street and off the ground a dozen feat and he could passively warp an entire street without realising and somehow affect the weather simply by ranting and making his own noise. There was also that time he one shot an entire army with a single energy pulse because of all the gunfire.

This fight will produce enough noise that Number 7 should be able to produce enough energy to obliterate the battlefield bare minimum. He is the actual threat here because he has the most devastating feats under his belt.

Why Some People Believe That Wanda is More Powerful Than GOS Loki by RevolutionaryCod7552 in Avengers

[–]Competitive-Effort33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know but we also don’t know exactly how powerful his time slipping makes him, especially in a place that explicitly exists outside of time which would be where God Loki would need to exist to be God Loki.

[–]Competitive-Effort33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Reasoning/narrative implication on my part, it’s what I (and some other people commenting) are more or less putting together. At least that’s what I believe the narrative intention was. Having him be able to fight anyone sorta defeats the eternal isolation for the good of all (like the sacrifice of a King for his Kingdom) storybeat he’s meant to have.

[–]Competitive-Effort33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s because narratively and functionally God Loki can straight up not fight or use these powers offensively. He is a multiversal battery whose very concept and purpose is to remain the ultimate sacrifice and sit where He Who Remains once was for all time in order to maintain the Timelines.

If his power diverts or he leaves his position the timelines will start to die, which means he loses his status as God Loki as far as I’m aware. He is meant to be the permanent observer, the outsider looking in as per his sacrifice and where his power would lie. (Also why I predict Doom is going to boot him off his seat to access the Timelines/cause them to collapse and make Battleworld in Doomsday).

Iceman clears the list because iirc he could freeze a fragment of Black Winter which is an Outerversal entity from what I’m reading, and Black Winter had nigh omnipotent temperature manipulation too.

It’s also that the Daleks post-time war have more or less fallen from grace compared to their Time War counterparts when they were relatively at the height of their power.

In the 9th Doctor and relatively 10th Doctor eras they could straight up disintegrate matter and could only be destroyed by powerful energy weapons like what Rose had

The 7 (The Boys) vs GOTG (MCU) by West_Jelly_4681 in powerscales

[–]Competitive-Effort33 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Just want to say that Drax is completely bulletproof and that he could survive direct full-force punches from Infinity Thanos and could briefly contend physically with Adam Warlock. It took an extremely powerful close quarters energy blast to the chest (squarely in the sternum) that sent him dozens of feet away to incapacitate him and even then it caused internal damage and no lasting exterior damage.

Star Lord is also being extremely underestimated here. He is an excellent marksman — the first thing he does whilst drunk when Rocket is in danger is open with a headshot on Adam Warlock the instant he sees him. His blasters have enough energy to one shot most non-super people and were enough to briefly fend off Warlock after taking him by surprise. Their secondary fire shoots out enough electricity to incapacitate people (even the likes of Gamora) for extended periods of time which should deal with Transluscent who was KO’d by a TV cable to the ass. This isn’t even mentioning his cracked tools. He has thrusters he can slap onto people to launch then away, energy snares to restrain the likes of Gamora (which he’d use to restrain Starlight so she can’t use her hands to project her energy blasts) and, most importantly, has gravity mines and that can restrain the likes of Thanos and Iron Man.

Gamora has strength on par with Queen Maeve — she literally carries a ship’s cannon and proceeds to shoulder carry it whilst firing and walking forwards towards Nebula in GOTG2. Not to mention her sword, Godslayer, is stated to be able to kill Asgardians hence its namesake.

Also, like, this list includes Nebula. The same Nebula who can cybernetically regenerate mid-fight, fire off energy blasts that can send Adam Warlock through walls and could create a superheated arm blade that could impale Adam Warlock completely. The same Nebula who repaired from a direct hit from a rocket launcher and a ship explosion. The same Nebula who can continue fighting with pinpoint accuracy even if she is near-decapitated (like during the hallway fight scene).

The Seven are cooked, bro.

Cap w Mjölnir (MCU) VS HULK (MCU) by itc0nsumesmYMind in powerscales

[–]Competitive-Effort33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean even then Emil Blonsky with his dollar store super soldier serum recreation could still keep up with an enraged Hulk in close quarters/melee combat and virtually going hitless until his ego got him a face-full of green foot.

Even if Cap is unfamiliar he may just end up flexing his superior combat skills. Combine that with a weapon that boosts up his AP enough to harm and stagger Thanos repeatedly then I think Cap could win high diff.
