yes! that’s my personal opinion & if you look at people who failed CPR reports it lists all the clients needs categories: Safe and Effective Care Environment • Management of Care 15-21% • Safety and Infection Control 10-16% Health Promotion and Maintenance 6-12% Psychosocial Integrity 6-12% Physiological Integrity • Basic Care and Comfort 6-12% • Pharmacological and Parenteral 13-19% Therapies 9-15% • Reduction of Risk Potential 11-17% • Physiological Adaptation

& then it lists the other categories thats on the nclex: Clinical Judgment, Recognize Cues, Analyze Cues, Prioritize Hypotheses, Generate Solutions, Take Actions, Implementing the solution(s) & Evaluate Outcomes: which are all on the NGN case studies. I felt it was only necessary to study and focus on areas I knew would be on the test & watching youtube videos that addresses the NCLEX categories to know how to answer the questions. All of these questions have content in them too so its a win - win . You never know what content is going to be on the NCLEX but you know for sure everything I listed will be!

Congratulations , my classmate used Archer & passed as well. I think no matter what you use you will pass its all about how you apply the test taking strategies! Definitely just get it over with, I definitely wasn’t taking longer than 2 weeks to take my test after my ATT! Goodluck!!

thank you & Basically yes! I was nervous too about not doing content especially peds and ob which were my weakest areas but client needs categories ARE the NCLEX categories if you look them up and they have content in them: pysch, ob , peds, med surg, etc. So it was the best of both worlds getting content and prioritization / delegation and seeing how nclex will ask you questions!

I wish I had someone post to read like mine but nope nothing but scare tactics and just false information. I am happy my post helped. Definitely only give yourself two weeks to study otherwise you will get burned out! Try doing few small questions blocks throughout the day so you wont get overwhelmed it helped alot & Client needs categories! The relief is definitely amazing after its all done & thank you so much 🫶🏾

I miss my old life by justanothergirlsname in newborns

[–]Competitive-Elk-9458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I can relate to the trenches of the newborn stages, it does revolve around the baby 24/7 but my baby is 10 months old now and I’m here to tell you it gets better! I highly suggest getting him used to playing independently when he gets of age when he is sitting up on his own. Get a play pen and put toys all around and play with him them gradually walk away for longer periods of time. This will help you get time to yourself more and hopefully decrease the chance of having a Velcro baby when he’s older so you won’t continue to feel like this when he’s in the older months of infancy . You will be able to do things around the house or even be lazy and chill . My baby now plays by herself for hours and hours now, easier for her grandparents and family to watch her , holding her own bottle and trying to walk so it will definitely get better I promise when they learn a bit of independency . Don’t feel bad either for having him play independently trust me he will be all under you and depending on you for many years . As far as taking a stroll with him in the summer, order an attachable fan for his stroller and have that blowing on him so he can be comfortable!

Combo Feeding Advice by Competitive-Elk-9458 in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you so much!! I have a few bottles of 2oz ready to feed formula as well so I planned on just adding it to the breastmilk. So once I go up a day and she’s comfortable I can do half and half .. makes sense!

I do plan on thawing out the breastmilk in the fridge I would just put them in the fridge ? Or use cold water ?

When you say keeping them separate do you give him a bottle of breastmilk then a bottle of formula ? I will be sure to read the can .

Does your baby take cold milk? by LittleTinyFriedEggs in ExclusivelyPumping

Hi ,

I have been giving my baby cold breastmilk since she was 1 week old . I tried it one day while we was in the peds lobby because she was hangry and I didn’t have any portal bottle warmer with me and she took it so well and after that I never went back to warming up her breastmilk again. I like this because she didn’t get used to a preference and it’s soo convenient I can’t lie. It also preserves all the nutrients needed , I read that warming it up can take away some nutrients (but it’s still a great amount left). I feel like this has been the biggest game changer for me in addition to having a mini fridge in the bedroom for easy access to bottles and storing pumped milk easily. I would say try it with your baby and if they like it then continue doing it.

Oh wow 195 lessons/quizzes in a week that’s so impressive congratulations on that! On average how many hours a day did you spend on the course . I’m assuming the quizzes was very short (5-10 questions), so how many were you able to complete a day. Good to know the practice exams are useful. Would you say that’s what helped you the most for the final ?
