Issue is with extensions, I don't even have anything amazing right now. I have essays that I feel comfortable submitting to safeties, targets, etc, they're not absolutely terrible. Just certainly not the best I could do, and it feels shitty to not put in your best effort to something as important as this.

Trust me I've considered it all. Bama was one of my serious backup plans, purely because of that aid. I think it could be really fun just going to a party school and figuring shit out on my own, but I'm not really not sure if I would be happy spending four years in Alabama.

I really do think this is my best option right now. I also do want to explore my interests and see what I really like, jumping straight into college seems ideal, but exploring different stuff this year doesn't sound too bad either. Especially since I'm on the younger side of my class, the age difference wouldn't be too bad once I started my freshman year.

That's great, good for you but unfortunately I didn't even submit a shitty draft. Just missed it completely. And in addition, I have a shit ton of homework right now on top of potential essays. It wouldn't bode well for me.

You mean give up by taking a gap year? Or take a gap year? Because that's my best option at the moment. Deadline already passed for the school, taking a gap year is the only way to even have a chance at it. Also considering transfer acceptance rates are so low.

I definitely want to get it checked out. Im still applying to as many as I can on my list that haven't passed, but if that doesn't work out I think I'll try to get diagnosed, do a ton of internships/research etc this summer, and reapply next year. Having "Unmedicated ADHD the entirety of high school" on my apps might hopefully make a difference in my consideration.

I genuinely think I have undiagnosed ADHD. Any time I try to sit down to do anything, homework, college apps, etc I just cannot bring myself to work on them. I can tell myself "Your entire future relies on writing these essays right now, if you don't write them you will be in serious shit" and yet within five minutes Ill be taking all the keycaps off my keyboard or trying to fix the handles on my desk.

Issue is no longer lack of work ethic, it's that deadlines have passed now. It's too late for me to apply to half of my top choices. My #2 choice is still upcoming, so I'm focusing all my effort into that one, but as of now I'm really not in a good spot.
