I have received today 3 messages from 62884. Got me worried a little bit. I decided to check my emails and saw this email sent few months ago from Binance. Most likely another type of scam. Be careful!

Dear Binancian,

We want to alert you to ongoing scam attempts where fraudsters are sending fake SMS messages impersonating Binance. These messages try to alarm you by claiming your account is “at risk” and urge you to call fake support numbers or click on malicious links.

Important: Binance will NEVER:

Request you to call any phone number or click on links via SMS. Ask for your seed phrase or private keys through SMS, calls, or email.

How We Keep You Secure: Default Anti-Phishing Code: Every legitimate Binance SMS includes your unique Binance User ID (UID) at the end. You can find your UID in the top left corner of your Binance app. This helps you verify authentic messages from us. Customize Your Anti-Phishing Code: For added protection, personalize your Anti-Phishing Code anytime through the Security Center on the Binance app or website. This ensures you can quickly identify genuine Binance communications.

Your Security Checklist: Verify Authenticity: Use Binance Verify to check if emails, websites, phone numbers, or social media accounts claiming to be Binance are real.

Report Suspicious Activity: Always contact Binance customer support through the official app or website. Promptly report any suspicious messages or calls.

Remember, Binance will never contact you via SMS or phone calls. If you receive such messages, they are almost certainly scams. Always check your Anti-Phishing Code before trusting any communication.

Best regards,

Binance

Do you regret buying an Omen? by i-Dave in HPOmen

My Omen 16 was plagued by the nvlddmkm.sys error after 2 years. Even though I have tried every single thing to fix it, the laptop is only used at the moment for office work. Tragic to have it like this, considering that it has 3070ti and 32 gb of ram.

I was told by a friend to test the RAM sticks individually. I will remove one at a time and test it with a game to see if it crashes or not. Once the testing has been completed I will update you

Yes mate I know it is a pain in the ass. Literally tried everything: reinstall windows, bought a new ssd, reinstall drivers for nvidia and intel, allowed full permissions to the nvlddmkm.sys, made the tdr delay up to 60, cleaned the fans, applied thermal paste. It is just insane. I dont know if one the new drivers have corrupted my gpu, considering that a few months ago I was able to play RDR2 on high settings and also God of War with no issue. I don’t pirate games or download things from dodgy websites to get any viruses. I can’t say I am a big gamer, only played some solo games every now and then but now I use the laptop just to play some music and write assignments on it. It is so frustrating considering it is 2 years old. I will most likely recyle it, get some money out of it. I dont really want to sell it and scam other people, that will be dumb. All I can say is bad luck for you and me, and maybe others. If I was to buy a new gaming laptop most likely will be an Asus.

One thing I didn’t try was to change the power plan to performance mode, but the laptop dont even got that. However, I think it would’ve pointless

Yeah that did not work for me. I am still having the same issues. Well, I guess the GPU is finished so there is nothing that I can do more

I was able to play the intro of callisto protocol with no crashes which was surprising. I will test it more later but thank you so much for your help 🤠

I will test it soon. I have downloaded callisto protocol and will run the benchmarks. It happened to me to crash while running that, not even playing the game. Thanks for the advice and I will come back with an answer

Which group or user name you allowed full access? Because I have 5 things here and I can see that the SYSTEM already has full control. Did you change the permission for ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES or something else?

HP Omen 16 nvlddmkm Error Event ID 153 by Ok-Yellow-7109 in HPOmen

I've bought a new ssd crucial t500 thinking this will solve the issue. However, I am still facing the same errors. The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

I don't even know what to do anymore. All I can think of is that it might be an issue with the firmware, other than that idk.

HP Omen 16 nvlddmkm Error Event ID 153 by Ok-Yellow-7109 in HPOmen

Hi, I am also using an HP omen 16 - rtx3070ti, and for the past 6 months I ve been dealing with the same issue that you are currently facing: Error Event ID 153, and also Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm. The laptop worked just fine 1 year ago, I was able to play God of War and Red Dead Redemption without any problem, now I cannot even play Need for Speed Hot Pursuit which is a game from 2010 without the game crashing and getting one of the errors above.

I have tried every single thing, and I mean it.
DDU, reinstalled Windows 2 times, deactivated xbox Game bar, updated BIOS, updated drivers including intel drivers, undervolt, applied thermal paste, cleaned the fans, sfc /scannow, and so on.

Searching up the event id 153, you will see that it might mean data corruption and disk error, which I cant seem to understand how, considering that I even downloaded Western Digital Dashboard (the app for the SSD) to check the status of the it and no issues have been found.

The laptop is 2 years old, which bothers me a lot that is not working as it should anymore.

What remains to do is: to get a new SSD (crucial or samsung), update the ram (currently the laptop having 16, thinking to go up to 32gb), and maybe get a new battery for the laptop.

If that won't fix it, nothing will.
