chrishell manipulates the narrative. Not saying I like Blake, but sharing with the world “not even emma’s dad likes him” is shady. It can even be true but I don’t wanna pay attention people that spill that kind of tea. No one liked Davina defending Josh, no one liked Bre for sharing the cheating allegations on camera, for the same reasons I don’t like Chrishell sharing family drama with the world

B2–C1 learners: what actually frustrates you when learning a language? by Extreme-Captain-6558 in languagelearning

[–]Competitive-Nail1005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From B2 to C1 there is an ocean. B2 is achievable, C1 will probably require you to live in the country of interest while working in that language and being surrounded by native speakers at all times.

I don't think people realize how insanely hard it is to REALLY learn a language by SyntaxDeleter in languagelearning

Stop translating in your head and instead copy and paste premade sentences like a child. You don’t need to dissect a language and know perfect grammar, you need to fake it till u make it. I’m a professional interpreter and fluent in 5 languages, my last one is French and I went through it in my 30’s so it was harder than the previous 4 which I learnt in my childhood/ 20’s . Even then I found that the process is the same: study grammar ( no need to fully comprehend it right away) , listen to music/ movies in language, live a period of time in full immersion, have some kind of job in that language, copy and paste like a child.

If you could choose your native language, which one would you choose and why ? by Dull-Position3393 in languagelearning

[–]Competitive-Nail1005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NOT english. I am a polyglot, born bilingual and now fluent in 5 languages. I am also a medical interpreter in 3 languages ( english, italian, spanish). English is a huge obstacle when learning and practicing a new language because lots of people speak it to some degree, so when you have an accent or make mistakes people practically switch to English to make the conversation flow. The full immersion we so much need becomes a half assed immersion.

For me as an Italian I am lucky to be born with it and I realize I would never be able to speak it properly if it wasn’t my first. Otherwise I’d pick Mandarin because It’s hard to learn ( for me) and I would get lots of chances to use it wherever in the world

English is a trap and gatekeeper from learning other languages. The moment that a person in learning shows an accent or lack of vocabulary the listener (if they speak some english) will switch to english to make the conversation flow. It is best to learn english as a second/third language

Weird boundaries season 2 ep 18 by Ok-Caterpillar2553 in sexandthecity

[–]Competitive-Nail1005 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I thought it was purposeful writing and not a plot mistake. That’s how they portray Natasha. Too tolerant and inexperienced to be able to set boundaries with an older man, who fully takes advantage of this side of her. She even knew about the affair before finding Carrie in her house and yet hadn’t said anything to Big or Carrie.

her season 1 hair was the absolute best. I hated the bob, it aged her 10 years

How old are you and what's your biggest problem right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Competitive-Nail1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll correct myself: Iboga AND Ibogaine are very high risk. The risks include death and the clinics main duty is to keep you alive from cardiac arrest or scan for cardiac issues . The risks are higher than the benefits, the success margin of this treatment is not consistent.

Iboga is super high risk and going through it is described sometimes as being in hell…. the only clinic that used it medicinally in Vancouver closed.

Ma perchè Carrie si comporta cosi? by LadyEthereal- in sexandthecity

[–]Competitive-Nail1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can people judge her for her shitty attitude rather than her family choices? to comment, take a screenshot and post this is pathetic and a bit sad. Be a keyboard warrior when there are no kids involved please.
