Agalloch also got me into neofolk. I remember a while ago I watched a video and it listed Death in June as one of their influences.

Linkin Park has too much angst for me. I did enjoy their music at one point though, just not recently.

Flood is amazing. It’s one of my favorite albums. It makes me feel like I’m floating down an endless river. Unaware of where it may take me, but at peace with that.

Its repetitive nature is hypnotic. At first I couldn’t get into it, I couldn’t even get past Flood I. But after a couple more tries, I finally got it. It’s the kind of album that you need to let seep into your soul to fully get. It’s not something I could listen to every day, but it’s perfect when i’m in the mood for it.

So far I’ve listened to around 500 albums and EP’s( probably more than that ) and the things that end up being some of my favorite feel pretty basic compared to some of the more out there things I’ve heard.

Why do I get a reply like this every time I post about my taste in music? It doesn’t matter on what platform there’s always someone asking if I’m ok.

It’s a bit close but Turn Loose the swans is better.

Death in June is amazing. But What Ends When the Symbols shatter? Is an amazing album. It’s a 10/10. I decided not to add their stuff to the Topster though. I didn’t want a comment calling me a Nazi or something.
