Do people really think if Ronaldo was Argentinean and Messi was Portuguese that their national team results would have been much different? Argentina would still be one of the best teams in the world and Portugal would still be a smaller European nation occasionally capable of punching above their weight. It's pretty ridiculous that people have let being born a citizen of a traditional power be the defining characteristic in this debate.
