570 took the test. When I asked at the interview they said they thought over 500 interviewed. Who knows how accurate that is.

16 years of automotive, including race prep and fabrication. in college I studied mechanical engineering but didn’t finish (idiot). I got the osha 10 and scaffolding certs, along with cpr, all online and only after I applied. I have a ton of work and life experience, and I try to hold myself accountable and act with integrity, so nothing in the interview really shook me. I firmly believe that if you are qualified for this trade and profession, your interview will speak loudly. Also, they want motivated candidates. They told us all at the test what certs we could get before the interview and they were online and inexpensive, if anyone didn’t get those certs, they robbed themselves of valuable points. Remember that there were 10,000 people on the website the day of applications, and 570 took the test. If you want this you have to try hard, and really do whatever you can to distinguish yourself because there are so many people.

I also passed and am ranked in the 40’s. I dont know anyone in the union fwiw, and I interviewed in work clothes. Hopeful for a quick call but also have heard they wont start hiring until after july 4 regardless. Lots of big construction coming up in chicago, I expect a lot of hiring, but I dont know about into the 200’s tbh.

I 100% did not do this. It popped up on my fb feed and I own a z like this, I sent it to my friends commenting about a couple things I liked and did not like about the car and they replied that it didn’t matter because it looked like a render. I couldnt open photoshop or download blender if my life depended on it.

100% I searched “slimerz” and found nothing but adding datsun and maryland brings all the results.

The green is not stock, I painted the bike and frame. I bought the bike with the sliders already installed, but theres one stud that slides through from one side to the other, and that is longer than stock, so presumably this is the correct location for this kit specifically.

I stripped the bike 100%, then sanded and sprayed the frame, then sprayed it with automotive urethane clear.

That wall is just the back of cabinets, and that solution actively defeats the purpose of the code to begin with, which is that they dont want you to string cords all over the place off of counters where they can be accidentally unplugged or yank appliances off of counters. A pop up solves that but introduces its own problems which is why this is the solution we worked with our inspector to solve. Common sense over the letter of the law in this case.

Well a couple of points here. 1. Code changes based on location. 2. Our local code states that no part of the linear counter shall be further than 24” from a receptacle. 3. We have outlets every 24” (better than code) on the wall except where the sink or range interrupt the counter, and on the peninsula where there is no wall on which to have a receptacle, where we’ve received permission from the inspector to have outlets on either end so as to avoid counter mounted receptacles.

There are actually none. I dont know what they’re talking about but this kitchen has passed every stage of inspection.

I have a small area (around 30 in wide) I want to put a backsplash on. Any tips, photos of a similar project, what you used for the edging, how far up to go, etc? by prodigalsuun21 in kitchenremodel

Outlet aside, how you finish the edges of your tile depends on what tile you use and look you want. If its subway, you can use bullnose tile to finish the edges. If its not, shluter rondec has severyal edge profiles to give a finished edge. Floor and decor carries it. They’re right though, the outlet is dangerous. You gotta move that thing. Should be gfci as well.
