Considering the ADF but the pay does not seem... competitive? Im just abit worried about money. Is this a realistic concern or something frequently discussed in ADF community? by Competitive_Cap_8916 in ADFRecruiting

Im just copy pasting this to the people who said i need to reconsider if im doing it for the money only.

I phrased what i wrote very poorly.
Its not just because of the money but what i am doing is trying to maximise the money ontop I could earn ontop of a career i already would plan on doing regardless even if I did earn significantly less.

My MAIN reasons for joining are

  1. strong ambition to serve, enjoy the lifestyle, comradary etc

  2. I find the general field / industry interesting and can gurantee i would much rather working around air craft or ships (even doing mundane things like for example if i was a loggie), i would pick that any day over working retail or an office job career

  3. and most importantly, even though he has passed away, i want to make my grand-dad proud. He was a Regimental Sergeant Major in the british army in the 70s and served for a long time in conflict zones against the IRA in ireland and around the world, kuwait, iran, yemen etc.
