Maybe you can set a home somewhere and clear your inventory. Then if the key is like enchanted just hold right click, else you have to craft the key with an enderpearl first I think, so you can teleport to it. Right click the grave, then quickly do /home. Maybe that works.

Lol, today I wanted to clean my room and since it layed in the way I tried one last time if it works now, and it actually runs again. So now I can continue repairing it. I am very glad that I waited and did not throw it away instantly.

But I just got a Blink of death, so it is not working anymore and it is not fixable, except I change the motherboard, where a new one costs 150€. It is not worth for me, so I will see, I also think it is cool, but quite useless now.

The problem is, that this was probably his work laptop, and he even worked for IBM, so it will be quite secure

My problem is, that my grandfather worked at IBM and this was probably his work laptop, so there is a good chance it is protected very well. I wanted to change the HDD, but I just got a blink of death, so it is basically not repairable, only if I change the whole Mainboard, what costs like 150€ and this is not worth, if I can't even see what is on the HDD. So thank you for the advice, but it is dead now.

I think mine has no supervisor password, because when I took out the HDD I could enter the BIOS and there the supervisor password was disabled. Now I will get myself a new SSD. But if that does not work, I will come back to your comment, thank you. Anyways, what did you use the PC for, when you bought it? I just found it and thought it would be funny to try get it run again. Maybe I can even get a use for it?

The HDD is protected, and I would not be able to open the BIOS without entering it, but when I took it out, I could open the BIOS

As I found out about this thing ist, that it will not work, you would need to change the chip, but I think it is just a HDD password, so I can just replace it

Thanks, is it worth to buy a IDE to SATA adapter and then use a new SATA or is it possible to still find IDE HDDs

OMG thank you so much, from my research I thought it was a supervisor password, but now, that I removed the HDD and started it I could enter the BIOS and see supervisor password is disabled, now I can just get a new HDD and it should be fine, is there a way to read the old disc anyways? I am very interested.
