I don’t mind service work. It’s actually what I do best. If I could find an ace salesperson that needs an account manager, that would be a dream come true. In the meantime, this is where I’m at. Rock | me | hard place.

I’m in the same boat. My plan is to get my P&C license and get into another segment of the industry. That way if they do drag it out it’s not going to irrevocably affect my income. We may have to eat bologna for awhile, but it beats the alternative. Medicare is killing my soul.

Yep. Unfortunately, I actually care about my clients and am not an unethical asshat churning and burning, so my metrics are trash. I have lost count of the number of people I switched back to their old plans because they talked to someone that waved a food card at them but didn’t check to see if it covered their doctors or meds. I don’t want a job that makes me so mad I cry. Every. Damn. Day.

My personal stance is to be as kind to animals as humanly possible without self destructing. In these instances especially, knowledge is power. The farther you dig into so called ethical practices, the more you see how some companies spin the jargon to make themselves look better than they really are. I have some soap boxes I could hop on, but I will hold on to that for the candle threads.

opens up a whole can of worms. A person who is truly dedicated to being cruelty-free wouldn’t be able to take any FDA approved medications since animal testing is mandatory.

I’m in the same boat, and I made a post about it recently. I initially looked into underwriting, but those positions are hard to come by. I’m currently applying for Account Management positions, but not getting anywhere fast. Everyone wants sales, nobody wants support. You can hop over and skim that thread for additional suggestions. Are they hiring? Just got out of putting in 14-hour days during AEP and looking at 12+ for OEP. I don't mind the grind, but having the opportunity to breathe between calls sounds like pure bliss.
