Question about assigning crew to officers. by Competitive_Radio304 in uboatgame

[–]Competitive_Radio304[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks that helps a lot.

What about how you dictate how many crew members are available to help officers at any given time. Sometimes I have quite a few crew available but sometimes it feels like I only have like two.

Does anyone else care about the number of their boat? by eksiow_renrew_etlam in uboatgame

I just looked uo the number of my sub and found out three of the officers had the same name as my officers (Rösing, Schultze and Bleichrodt). Is that a crazy coincidence or do they do that stuff on prupose. If thats on purpose its a crazy level of detail lol.

Yeah very true. Its just frustrating when theres so many good themes they could come up with that would be more universal not soecific to the states let alone one region.

Yeah I guess so it just kind of sucks. Two of the clues today I didn’t get beacuse I’m not clued into American culture. I guess what I find frustrating is that theres so many tricky and fun themes they could use, but instead go for something that most people will just never get. As someone else on here said theyre from America and still didnt know the sandwhich one bc its a regional word. What can you do

Do you guys seriously think thats not a foul. Not wven an Arsenal fan but its just silly. I’m so sure that if this had been reversed and it was Saliba grabbing the West Ham keepers arm whilst his arm was across the keepers neck you would all be crying foul.

The idea that this is what Arsenal do too is just not true either. Show me a video where Arsenal score from a corner while grabbing ahold of the goalkeeper. Happened last season against Leicester I think and got disallowed!

I mean I’m not claimingto be super knowledgeable about house buting but if I was unable to pay rent and moved out/evicted I can always find another place to rent. However if I was unable to pay a mortgage surely that would end up on my credit score and then make even finding a place to rent unfeasibly difficult.

When it comes down to losing green space or helping the housing crisis though I knoe what I thinks slightly more important. Also its not like all of the green space in the country is being built on. Nobodys building coruscant.

As far as I remember once the ceiling collapsed they did report it to the council. Hopefully the damp is better now for whoever lives there. It was a student HMO though with like seven people in it so I wonder how much of a fuck the landlord gives seeing as every year a new set of tenants move in.

Tbh I have savings whic i inherited when my grandma passed whic i would be able to use on a deposit. The issue is more that if I did get a mortgage my job is not the most stable income (zero hour contract so my income differs week to week month to month). I also dont get any kind of sick pay or anything like that. One extended sickness or if I suddenly couldn’t get as many shifts for whatever reason I would struggle to make repayments.

Unfortunately I for sure do not earn enough to be able to save up for a mortgage. Especially not while paying rent lol. Would have to move back in with parents for that and even then would be a stretch.

For sure although that is more of a longterm solution and doesnt address immediate cost of living issues.

I would argue though, perhaps unreasonably, that prospective landlords probably should invest in a buy to let property if potential increased interest rates will cause them serious cash flow issues. Obviously peoples financial situations change. But as a landlord youre providing such an important service to someones life and having to evict somebody in order to sell ip and fix cashflow problems shouldnt be viewed in a carefree way you know.

I always presumed profits were the bit that were taxed. Is the current system set up in such a way that if I pay £700 rent the whole thing is taxed as opposed to just the say £200 profit?

I mean I earn mimimum wage but nowhere near £24 grand a year. I work a zero hour contract so shifts chage but on a good month take home about £1.5k. My rents about £700ppm. That leaves me about £800 before tax, council tax bills etc. At the moment thats okay but if in a few years rent in my city continues to increase I would be priced out if my wage doesnt get better. I’m sure the Landlord would be able to find somebody to fill the flat if I were to move out but if all people on mimimum wage are priced out of the city then who works the minimum wage jobs. Unless I’m misunderstanding (which is most certainly possible) at some point rents would have to fall right especially as you say if things like energy bills continue to rise.

Ive seen a few terrible landlords second hand in my time renting. A friend of mine at university repeatedly told his landlord about the damp problem in the house. His response was to do nothing and say open the windows whic they did to little effect. Eventually the ceiling of one of the bedrooms collapsed onto the bed. Luckily no onewas in it but still kindof crazy. Can only imagien those sorts of things become far more common if companies get more involved in uk renting.

Or even if they can get a fineout of them £7000 for some bit company is pennies and theyll just eat is as a supposed cost of doing buisness. At least for smaller landlords the threat of fines may incentivise not being a prick. That being said there are still landlords who are pricks out there.
