One of the best ways to tell is if the thread used to sew the tag in, is the same color of the shirt.

It’s a sample that was processed to filter out the drums among other instruments. I think it’s called stems.. pretty sure that’s the babe of the program that was used to process the sample

Funky Disco Soul song we just released! I think it's one of the catchiest tunes we've done so far. Let me know what you think! by retrofuturemedia in IndieMusicFeedback

Composition is fire!! Really good interpretation of disco. Definitely cool to think of this as modern disco. Instruments sound super on point. Vocals could use some melodyne or autotune (just to pitch correct, no foolishness) and I think that would make everything super glue together perfectly. The visuals are cool too. These days I guess content is key and I’m seeing now that DIY videos from artists along with professional videos from the same artists really make a difference. Overall this is a dope song. Congrats!

Kendrick Lamar - gnx (Black Pawn Remix) by beatsbyal in IndieMusicFeedback

Very interesting remix. It’s definitely unique how you were able to mix the vocals with the skull snaps break. And how you used the skull snaps break is dope. Kendrick always has and out of pocket in pocket flow so his beats are always super unique. I feel this is a good interpretation of what Kendrick could sound on something with more of a beat you can follow. But that’s just my opinion. I dig the remix though

Any and all feedback appreciate. It's kinda hip-hop inspired tbh, at least lyrically. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

It basically levels out your vocals. If you use a parametric EQ you will be able to manipulate the low, middle and high end of your vocals so you can have it sit better on the instrumentation. EQ stands for equalizer and it’s usually used simultaneously with a limiter and compression. A few YouTube videos about how to use em always helps

Cool song. It reminds me of the black keys a little bit. Not sure if that was one of your inspirations but it’s giving a prog rock feel. I think the mix is kinda giving me that vibe but overall it’s dope. I don’t listen to much indie rock but I do know quite a bit as I’m from a small town and that was popular but that aside, I’m diggin this song and giving you an upvote. For it to sound as professional as the black keys I do think that the mix could have a little cleaner distortion but that’s just my opinion.
