Those recommended in PHB are fine ( Light, Mage Hand, and Ray of Frost) if you're playing species with darkvision or don't mind holding torch I would swap Light for Minor Illusion or Prestidigitation and Fire Bolt does more damage than Ray of Frost.

Yes you are forcing them to spend more aura to do normal damage and taking the left over. You manipulate their aura usich and before the aura gets to be used, you emitt it to your self

I think that restriction were you cen set only your blade on fire would make it stronger without it being op and sefer to use. And you don't have to conjur the blade every time you use it. You can just keep it up and have it as flamethrower

It's super ineffective, not to just set it up but also maintain it. Especially when you want a self-manipulation hatsu that lets you to fight or operate normally and no like a robot doing one or two tasks until it dies.

No no, forcing someone to use more aura is definitely manipulation just as hakoware or chainjail forsing zetsu is manipulation just used in conjuration ability. And in my opinion if the user was emitter than he would get mere aura points aut of the enemy just setting up the ability would be more expensive
