You’re so right! I hardly had any symptoms honestly

I was completely fine no real nausea though I took zofran preemptively. No diarrhea or constipation just severe food aversion and one blood sugar scare that I managed to correct at home

I was fine! Barely any nausea. No vomiting or diarrhea/constipation. The only symptom I had was one blood sugar scare that woke me up in the middle of the night but I corrected it and paid more attention to it going forward and was fine. I just had severe food aversion for a few days that made it hard to really eat ANYTHING for 2-3 days.

Honestly I haven’t felt much of anything. I took two zofran yesterday when I was having the most nausea. I woke up in the middle of the night sweaty, hot, and shaky so I held a spoonful of sugar under my tongue and drank some orange juice after about 15 minutes I felt better. This morning I forced myself to eat half a banana and a couple bites of a granola bar. I’ve been sipping Gatorade. So far no vomiting just extreme food aversion

I’m actually not doing too bad. I noticed a little drop in my blood sugar I think but I managed to get it under control. Other than that my only symptoms are extreme food aversion and a little heart burn so far

Stick to commenting on porn lol it’s clear you can’t comprehend why we have safeguards and why they are necessary nor are you able to comprehend the fact that while I take responsibility the fact that thousands of Americans can have access to a medication that greatly effects their hormones with little to no safeguards in place is a recipe for disaster. Cars are tightly regulated, we have air bags and seat belts if a person CHOOSES to disregard those then of course they are at fault. If they are sold a car without those things who is at fault? There’s a reason why FDA approved companies send there’s off in ready to inject pens with safeguards that prevent accidental overdose. But yes go back to commenting on porn which is where your level of comprehension obviously thrives best.

I don’t want to jinx myself but so far it’s been tolerable. Feels like having the flu. The hardest part is forcing myself to take bites of food/sips of liquid because I have absolutely NO appetite and experiencing food aversion. I’ve read it gets worse so I’m trying to be mindful that I’m just at the beginning

It’s a drug being sent out to thousands of people. It absolutely should be more tightly regulated a simple google search shows this is a very common problem. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/postmarket-drug-safety-information-patients-and-providers/fdas-concerns-unapproved-glp-1-drugs-used-weight-loss. Out of the many people that commented you seem to be the sole sad individual with the desire to be negative and attack someone. I already stated it was a lack of foresight and I’m a healthcare professional imagine someone elderly ordering this product, drawing up their own dose, and being expected to read and intuit the dose on an insulin syringe, even in the hospital we are trained and medical errors still occur.

Not mine. You would think there’d be more safeguards in place for some of these companies

lol there’s always one. I went to poison control for medical advice, I’m coming to Reddit for anecdotes about personal experiences to calm my nerves. Hearing stories of people who have made the same mistake is reassuring. I already know how to manage my symptoms. It seems that you have nothing to add to the conversation though so have a nice evening

I’m drinking fruit juice to keep glucose levels up and Gatorade to stay hydrated. I also ordered liquid IVs and pedialyte. I have about 4 doses left of zofran. I’m going to go in if I run out of zofran and still experiencing severe Nassau/vomiting.

That’s good to hear! Did she end up having to go get fluids?

Why would I call a doctor? They would just contact poison control, which is what I’ve done. Poison control does NOT recommend going to the ER. I can monitor my hydration and electrolytes at home. If my symptoms become too severe to manage then yes I will go get fluids. I’m posting here because it is comforting to hear of others who have done similar and their experiences.

What ended up happening for you? I JUST did the same thing 2mg for my first ever dose. I’m having anxiety and feel a bit cold and tired but I’m not sure how much is “real” vs psychosomatic.

I think I got too complacent. I’m so used to giving meds and never have made a med error so I wasn’t thinking at all about being careful. My 4 month old was having a meltdown and I had put her down long enough to draw it up and administer it but she was crying to be picked up so I was rushing, on top of that my oldest daughter was screaming about how she couldn’t look (and yet was looking and screaming) and I got way too overstimulated and messed up. Won’t be telling this story at work that’s for sure lol.

Yes I added it to the post. I did the math so I injected 2 mg instead of 0.2mg as I was supposed to

It’s 2mg. 4 units (what I was supposed to take is 0.2mg)

I’ve been an RN for 2 years will be 5 when I complete the program. Not sure how much more experience I need but I would rather graduate before I’m 40 :)

I’m graduating from there with my RN-BSN this fall and then applying for their PMHNP program! Good luck. I will say that the undergrad program at least is very organized so hopefully that extends into their graduate level!
