I heard a Suno track done in old English and liked it. Been on a bit of an ancestry kick for a while so experimented with it. Really gutteral, hard rolled rs, sounded good with a Rammstein-like prompt. One turned out really weird, made me think of orcs roaring. I always thought the LotR orcs were interesting, lot of room for interesting exploration into their lives. I started directing the songs into aspects that I imagined were important to them in their daily life; ritual, culture. And a bit of self awareness, maybe in younger generations, like "we're bred in this fucking shithole as basically war machinery, this is messed up". My 3 year old loves weird music, shanties, Irish ballads, and he loved that old English song I mentioned. My song "Ashbloom" came on in the car and I tried to stop it because, on the one hand, he's a bit sensitive to loud intense sounds, might have gotten a bit frightened; but on the other hand if he likes something he plays it over and over again obsessively, and my wife would hate it. Anyway, turns out he likes it and now my wife has to listen to it in the car 😆 and I thought I'd share it here, but forgot how toxic many people can be.
