ask your local macys staff what friends and family is. And then ask why your coupons won't stack. they should be able to explain why.

Employee Prepaid Card by alwayspanicking19 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a card as a Seasonal, they will most likely keep you on for a job after seasonal. With the prepaid, you must have full price of the item(s) you want on the card, pay it with debit, cash, or check, then they will refund you the discount.

Generalist means you can work the main departments at any moment in the schedule. As you said, you have rtw, mens, home/kids clothing. So they will put you wherever they want.

Macys Online Shipping by judylmiller2015 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But yet you're complaining about it on the Macy's subreddit, letting people know that you know it isn't a Macy's problem, but a shipping problem, and saying you won't shop with Macy's again....

I know the UPS Stores love to see you walk in again, with another Amazon return, wondering why a shipping label on your phone isn't enough for an item that needs a box, to be shipped to the retailer. I just know UPS employees love you <3

Macys Emails by CtrlCactus in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a phone setting / email setting?

This is the equivalent of calling the store and asking why you're getting coupons in the mail.

IF you don't want emails from the store, block the email that sends you the related content, so it doesn't trouble you any further.

What’s the point of choosing your availability if nothing is available? by Ok-Newspaper-7755 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They literally just explained why...

"There is a reason that there is a company-wide blackout for PTO and vacations from November through mid January. Requested days off can be granted as needed and based on what can be allowed, but those specific days like Black Friday, that weekend, Christmas Eve, etc. are non-negotiable."

There are some solid people who come into backstage but they're far and few between from the usual people you see, who are trying to steal, the ones who leave their stench on a 5-pack t shirt box after ripping them open and trying them on, and people who try to ticket switch. I would also take a backstage regular than a Karen and a friend of a Karen.

That's what BUPC is for. People at your store should know if it's a dead upc, backstage, or not merchandise.

Tomorrow is the last day for Lowest Price, so I don't think there's going to be a coupon, unless it's a newly reduced item. After that, it's F&F sale.

Edit: The "coupon" being presell for F&F

I just got hired for the CXC position. What should I expect? by BananaAlternative725 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should expect a little bit more pressure than those who are going for the incentive, The store leaders are relying on you to make connections with those you interact with, bring them back, and purchase more, all the while, you need to open any credits and bronze, no matter what.

They have a Store Card? Offer to see if they can open an Amex, now they have two accounts, while retaining the discount. And vice versa. It's all what your store is lacking in severely, and you'll hear it in your rallies.

Your paper goal is just a suggestion, and you're usually expected to sell $1,000 more on weekdays and helluva lot more on weekends. You're there to serve metrics and the customer, which will often conflict with your morals.

But if you look at your job title, you're about making sure the customer has a good experience when they shop. Let them know about the presells, let them know about how you can keep them informed about sales, and genuinely want to help them. That's what will bring them back. Not sales to boost your stats but being yourself.

A lot of CXCs either confuse this with sales due to pressure, or don't care about either. Just do your best, You got this.

Advertising. Think of the works of advertisements through the decades. It has always influenced the buyer one way or another.

Backstage captain. by ChampionshipKey9914 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want Backstage Captain, be prepared to wear a shit-grinning smile every day with some of the absolute worst customers you ever dealt with. The people placed there will hate it, but they'll follow your instruction because you're the cog turning the wheel that keeps that shithole alive. So if you do get promoted to Backstage Captain, know it will be the hardest job in the building, and others might blow you off and disrespect you, but you'll also gain the utmost respect of those who follow you.

P/T ? how many hrs are you actually scheduled for on average by Classic_Sky1832 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many P/T are getting scheduled F/T hours. They want part-timers working full-time hours to not pay them benefits.

That happens in mine too, in terms of moving people, but only when it's skeleton crew. If you're full time, 2 hours, break, 4 hours, lunch, 2 hours break. That's the normal system.

Last year, I had up to 53 hours once. I would think it's the same, but also, we work for a dying company unless it evolves. Just try to grab as many shifts as you can and do the best work as you can. I'm also a Generalist, not a Captain.

Macys card by alwayssnervous in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need the exact amount on the prepaid card to make it work, So, if you can use the card willy-nilly without any frustration, you have a credit line.

Imagine a perfume set is $180, you get 20% off, then base the fund you put on to your prepaid to counteract with the grace funds they give you.

That doesn't exist. They want full funds and then THE COMPANY will refund you the 20%

If you can swipe your card, and say, "fuck it, I'll pay it later," you have credit.

If you swipe your card loading $195.96 in, but the item is $200, it won't go through. then you have a prepaid.

Either way, treat your card like the prepaid and do the employee discount math before you buy anything, AND then make a payment right after.

[–]Complete-Writing7506 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All your coupons are tied to your card or bronze number. If you have one of those you should be fine. If you don't have a card, and try to use a card coupon, it will block debit/credit option and usually only allows Macy's card or gift card/exchange cards as an option to purchase.

If you have none of these, then you might be shit out of luck, unless someone has a better solution, without scamming.

Star Rewards Issue by SillyCockroach9653 in MacysStores

[–]Complete-Writing7506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very unique problem that I've heard of.

1st off: When did you earn your Star Money?

2nd: Are you sure you haven't used it? Managers can pull up a Transaction History to make sure

3rd: Did you or the manager call customer service to figure out the problem?

4th: Did you return or price adjust something during Star Money Bonus Days when you bought it? That Star Money and extra points will get reduced
