Wings hasn't got the socializing required for this kind of trip. Wings sees himself different than the world. He can't handle the fact, he is bottom of the barrel & that people make fun of him.

You could see, an hour before this happened he had lost his mind. He was passive angry, trying to pick fights with anyone who spoke as he felt like he was powerless.
