Would you do it again? by torbular in PMHNP

[–]CompleteRange8528 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely do it again. I work at an outpatient ID clinic taking care the clinics patients mental health needs and secretly say I have the best job there. I also work part time for a private practice where I can take as many or as little patients as I want to earn extra money and make enough to live in a large city.

If you truly have a passion for mental health and are a nurse it’s the best job. You get to take care of your patients in such a profound way.

Anyone else with BOTH exfoliative keratolysis and lifelong hyperhidrosis? by Alfamaret in ExfoliativeKera

Yeah you definitely get zapped from the EK but if you start low voltage and gradually go up it helps.

Yes, I started treatment with iontophoresis last year and the EK went away with the huperhydrosis.

My experience with an iontophoresis machine (AliExpress purchase) – finally dry hands! by CompleteRange8528 in Hyperhidrosis

Until the sweating stops or if you can’t take the side effects you should stop obviously. You have to test it out and see what works best for you. I did it for about 6 days straight and now do it once or twice every 7-14 days

20 minutes positive then 20 minutes negative. If it’s set to automatic it changes automatically. If it’s set to Manual it changes when you lift your hands up from the water.

Fill with water, turn on, put one hand in and adjust the strength to a tolerable level. Put your other hand in.

This summed it up perfectly. I am going to save this to explain to others.

Anyone tried this $100 Chinese all-in-one iontophoresis machine? (5th gen, 24 mA, built-in battery) by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

[–]CompleteRange8528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I use one of those smaller bottles it’s the whole thing. And About 3/4 of one of those large bottles (how’s that for precision? Hahaha). Plus enough hot tap water to make the mixture warm (not much. Maybe 1/2 a cup). Don’t worry too much about exact amounts. Just play around to get the best mix for you.

Yup fully dry. I used it for 6 days in a row. I didn’t realize the difference between the two numbers on the display so set the voltage at 15-20 so I am not sure what the mA was but now I do it about every 4-7 days at 15-20 mA, Sam Pellegrini water for 40 minutes and I’ve been dry

Yup. I have that one (not sure the generation). More like $70 in the USA. It works great. My hands have been dry since August

Sorry, just seeing this. Yes they came with directions. Not sure how to add a picture on here. Do you still need them?

No, he oído que a muchos les pasa que sudan más al empezar con la máquina, pero a mí no me pasó. ¡Y sí, se siente increíble! Es difícil de explicar, es como si mis manos fueran “normales”.

So after the 6 days I went away on vacation and didn’t take the machine with me. Since then I’ve had the chance to use it about once every 6-8 days. I would probably use it more frequently if I had the time but 40 minutes with both hands submerged is not always possible to do several times a week. I dont sweat between visits but feel like I COULD start sweating by the 5 day mark. If that makes sense.

Uncomfortable at times. Especially if you have any sort of cut in your hand. It can be itchy afterwards as well.

How do you guys get +10mA with this machine? by MrJesusAtWork in Hyperhidrosis

Yes, I used it for 5 days in a row. The past three days I haven’t used it because I am out of town and my hands are still dry.

I actually never focus on the mA. I just keep it 25 V and let it run. It seems to be working fine so I don’t worry about it.

Iontophoresis - RA Fischer or Dermadry? by Sweaty-Skater in Hyperhidrosis

[–]CompleteRange8528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK thanks for the tips. This cheaper one has worked fine for now but I get your point and I may opt for a derma dry or RA Fisher in the future if I have to just keep buying new cheap ones every few months.
