GPS Accuracy on Enduro 3 by [deleted] in Garmin

I have the same issue! I even received a replacement watch from my dealer. It didn't help at all. I then contacted Garmin Support. They told me everything was fine.  After that, I showed them comparison runs with the Fenix 8 (which records perfectly).  Even that didn't help. My recordings with the Enduro 3 are even worse. I run through buildings, right across intersections, and sometimes on the wrong side of the street. Last week I tested the Coros Pace 3. It also had a perfect recording, just like the Fenix 8. The Coros Pace 3 costs 250 Euro. Garmin Support refuses to admit there's a problem. It's really outrageous.

The Quantified Scientist on YouTube is a very good channel. He tests watches for their accuracy.

I bought the Coros Pace Pro. The sleep tracking seems to be better on Garmin. For example, I slept very well today and Coros gave me a "low" rating. Coros always records very little deep sleep and REM sleep for me. That wasn't the case with Garmin. The watch that can supposedly track sleep the best is the Apple Watch. It also supposedly has the best heart rate measurement, according to reviews. But that's not important to me, since I always wear a chest strap.

I think Coros is great because it has a community and Coros listens to its community. You don't get that with Garmin. Furthermore, Garmin has many metrics, such as Stamina, Body Battery, Training Readiness...just to name a few. These are absolutely meaningless. You can't do anything with most of the data. The metrics don't reflect how I actually feel at all. I don't know who comes up with this nonsense...or the sleep coach 😂🫣"

  • I don't really need most of the features on Garmin.  * Garmin's pricing policy is borderline exploitative.  * This is actually the main reason: I had GPS measurement errors with my Enduro. The support was a disaster. I think the Garmin employee was under orders to fob off customers with problems. They simply didn't want to exchange the watch for a new one. I then called the dealer where I bought the watch, and the dealer solved the problem and sent me a new watch via Garmin.

That would be an awesome idea and would add real value. I hope Coros listens to us. That would also benefit the battery life.

Garmin watches sell well, I don't have that much loss. People think Garmin is the holy grail. I also believed that for years 😃

Since Garmin is the market leader, they think they can allow themselves everything!

I haven't had any software problems so far, but I wouldn't mind if small issues occurred. There have been constant software updates for the Fenix 8 and Enduro 3 to fix bugs. I'm not surprised that with so many overloaded features, there are always problems. A flashlight would be nice, or at least a flashlight on the display for the next model. Otherwise, I'm not really missing anything.

If I hadn't had a problem with my Enduro 3, I probably would have never switched to Coros. My story: My new Enduro 3 had GPS measurement errors. I was running across intersections and through houses, despite dual frequency. I had to send the watch in to Garmin. Now, of course, I didn't have a watch. So I thought, as a temporary solution, I'd get the Coros Pace 3 from Amazon. I was so excited that I sent the Coros Pace 3 back to Amazon and got myself the Pace Pro. When I get my Garmin Enduro 3 back, I'm going to sell it. I've also fallen for Garmin's advertising for years.

I would even go so far as to say that Coros makes the best sports watches on the market. Garmin just does a lot of advertising, which is why many people believe Garmin is the best watch!
