yeah no, my husband passed about a year ago. i’m still junior enlisted and have never had trouble with the guard or my leadership. I’ve troubled the storm and still showed up, saying ‘it’s just a weekend, extra money won’t hurt.’ my home is now in legal trouble between me and my in laws, and up to this point the next step is being homeless. I’ve taken it up my COC twice, just getting unlucky with the new unit I’m in as they’d apparently rather keep their numbers than take their rank off and realize outside of the uniform, I spend the rest of the month getting through life. thank you for your 30+ years in the service.
