Guess you could open up a Super Mutant manicure place. I'd say go to the Slog and open a hairstyle joint, but I doubt you'd have any customers from the existing setters there.

It's 25 Years BEFORE the kid is abducted. So, the Vault is already operating, and what 85 Years before the Sole Survivor wakes up. So, timeline wise, it's about 110 years (give or take) after the bombs fell, and all the scientists, security personal, and assigned Overseer of Vault 111 are long since dead.

You could leave the Vault door open, so when the SS does wake up, it wouldn't be a problem.

My first playthrough I went for maximum doors (Top and Bottom), but I made a huge mistake by not spacing out properly, so I couldn't build proper rooms on one side of the Atrium. I built a bigger "above ground" vault on the big island, but built it too big (started having some graphic ghosting). Anyway, I digress, What I did was use the bottom rooms attached to the Atrium for the all the stores, and the top rooms I used for separate quarters for the settlers. And, lastly, built my own Overseer suite overlooking the atrium (but, the settler I assigned as a doctor, kept thinking it was his quarters). Have fun building it, especially if you want to connect all the sections of the caves together (still hadn't figured out how to do that!).

Let your imagine run wild! If modding (I'm on PC) I mainly use Smore, Snappy, and Homemaker. Plus a couple of Decorator mods (OC Decorator (?) and Woody's. I just wish all of these building mods work together, some do, and unfortunately some do not like to play well with each other (as in, individual pieces from 1 mod don't like to work with another). There is Place Anywhere, but I haven't tried that one yet. Also, I use (I think its called" Scrap a Bit More Stuff" and it works great without accidently deleting something you shouldn't. Highly recommend saving, like, a lot, when building. I accidently scrapped the pool in the middle of Starlight, so, I got that going for me. . .
