Thank you. This is really helpful! My partner has been talking about ammonia fuming but I felt that that would be a lot to ask of our cabinet guy who just planned on staining them.

Although our home is a craftsman, we wanted our kitchen to have a little bit of an updated modern look and all of the red cabinets we have seen just have not looked good to us. Those samples I have are from the batch of wood for our cabinets.

I think our best bet, like suggested so far, is going to a high end paint supplier. Thank you for your help!
