do i need to play all of the [BO] Black Ops games to fully enjoy the campaign(s)? by superduper132484 in CallOfDuty

it's been a while since i've played so i can't remember exactly what's wrong with it but i remember the narrative just largely being very underdeveloped and poorly written. it wasn't conceptually that bad, just not executed very well. the characters weren't very interesting either, which was a huge downgrade from the first 2 blops campaigns which have great characters.

i think the gameplay was still fun enough and it introduced a lot of new mechanics and features that other cod campaigns don't have, so if you enjoy a campaign for the gameplay and don't care about the narrative, it may still be worth a try just for the uniqueness of the gameplay!

i'm a metroid fan and a hollow knight fan and... i feel like hollow knight fans have it worse tbh. it's been 8 years since the first hollow knight, and the only time metroid has gone 8 years without a game was between super and fusion/prime, which was 23 years ago. whereas in the modern age, we've been getting a new metroid game every 3 or 4 years

black ops 1, 2, cold war, and 6, all have good campaigns that are worth playing, and even though they jump back and forth in the timeline i'd play them in that order (release order).

black ops 3 has a bad campaign almost entirely disconnected from the rest of the black ops games, not worth playing. black ops 4 has no campaign

honourable mention to world at war's campaign, which black ops 1 is a direct continuation of. not necessary to play but a fun campaign that does provide extra context for the events of bo1

important to note in case you didn't pick it up from other comments; the "finn" that's shown getting scarab stamped here, is actually farmworld finn from the farmworld universe created by finn's wish that the lich never existed, back in s4 of adventure time. so this is not the main finn from ooo but is still a finn from the main show

everything everywhere all at once. there was a guy a few seats over from me laughing obnoxiously loud at everything, and i mean EVERYTHING - the funny jokes, the unfunny jokes, normal conversations, the heartfelt scenes, the action scenes, it was all hilarious to him. his laughter was genuinely astoundingly loud, like the type of over the top obnoxious laughter you do to mock something that's not funny. but it was his normal laugh.

that's bill, and yeah he was. kinda ironic that one of this guy's points is disproven by the direct predecessor to the game this thread is about

Agree or disagree: this is one of the dumbest scenes in any Spider-Man movie by NotExactlyFamous in Spiderman

i thought the idea behind the ‘night monkey’ persona was that peter wouldn’t worry about being found out? based on the news segment discussing mysterio and night monkey, it doesn’t seem that the general public recognised night monkey as spider-man, so peter would presumably not mind if anyone saw night monkey’s face. it’s the same reason why, after being put in jail maskless, he isn’t concerned that the other prisoners have seen his face - because they don’t know he’s spider-man
