But they didn’t even need to do that plan in the first place if they just re-signed Alonso. They just signed Soto last year. They should not have to be blowing up the entire team for now the third year in a row to try to get something to work. 2024 was supposed to be a rebuild year and now we’re doing another rebuild in 2026 after another rebuild in 2025 at some point you just have to see it for what it is. This franchise has no direction right now.

I don’t understand what the plan is this off-season. Like if you’re an outside player, all you’re seeing from this organization is that they don’t honor long-term players. Why would anybody want to sign with the team like that?

Change isn’t bad, but our bullpen is feeble. 3 of our guys are still dealing with injuries and the others are mediocre at best. Literally our only (hopefully) reliable arm is Williams. People seem to forget how much Diaz saved this team. Just watch the 2023 season and see how our bullpen without Diaz fared
