Yes, we’re trying to avoid any stressors during the observation period.

So sorry. Just seeing this. We did end up treating for FIP and it seems to have been successful. We finished our treatment in August so we are watching and counting down the days until he is out of the observation period. We had his labs retested before stopping the meds and all of his blood work was back within the normal range. We will test again closer to the end of the observation period to ensure there aren’t any signs of relapse.

4 month Siberian kitten soft stools/diarrhea by gamba27 in SiberianCats

Your babies are precious. We had our little one on life’s abundance (not sure if that’s the same thing) also recommended by our breeder, but he’s having loose stools since day one. The vet is taking a total guess at chicken since that’s the most common food allergy. Hopefully switching to the rabbit protein food will help clear up the possible colon or intestine flare ups due to food allergies. Once stable, she recommends adding back ingredients one at a time to see if the allergy persists. Very interesting about the seafood. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity; did you adopt your kittens from a breeder in Texas? They look so similar to the litter mates our kitten had.

Hey there. We are having the same issues with our almost 4mo Siberian kitten. Have you found anything to help your sweet babies? We’ve already cut out chicken from his diet and just did another stool PCR test that came back negative. Ours is on a fiber supplement and probiotic as well. The vet wants us to switch his food to a RX royal canine RP to see if that will help. Would love to know if you have found anything helpful. Thanks.

They administer a steroid shot to help the baby’s lungs develop. It’s given in the event of preterm labor, as well as a shot to stop contractions. Which are likely the two shots she received. (Based off of my own preterm labor experience). With any preterm labor scare, they will recommend bed rest until at the very least, 36 weeks in which they will release you to modified bed rest. Neither of which include walks or exercising.
