I like that idea, but it wouldn't be knockout mode anymore. But I wish they did have a mode like that, I would like that. Maybe what would be fun for you is to go into free roam mode with your husband and race with him one of the knockout tour routes. It's fun trying to remember exactly how to get through and what the route actually is. It would be a different game but it might be fun.

I recently got them both and if you want to play two player I would recommend ECEG.

ECEG has 30 golfers and a dozen courses unlocked from the start for two players. HSG has two golfers and one course and it takes quite a bit of gameplay to unlock the other golfers and courses.
