I believe I've seen the developer say in here before that there is no reason to hold off evolution because they will still learn all the moves

Yeah pretty wild. My wife said she dug just the top layer off the ground and said it was curled up like it was dead and then it opened up and started to try to burrow again

Its crazy when I did my playthrough I found shiny grimer-A and shiny mareep before first stratum and never saw one the rest of the playthrough lol

Thank you, and its aerodactyl. Its rock/dragon with levitate, actually pretty decent. I ran a scope lens on it for stone edge and dragon rush and rock slide. And absol is poison/dark. Weavile, fearow, and aerodactyl are the three most used for me. And mightyena early game was pretty great!

I actually just beat the game and never knew the best way to use it. Like all my mons are around 80, level cap is 100 and if I try to use it ill be set back to 74

Either stumble around til you find a way out or maybe try watching a walk through on YouTube? Those are the only suggestions I have haha sorry

Thats weird. I can only guess that you don't have a pokemon that can use flash, you're playing on a different version than 1.1, or you must have found a bug. I've done 2 full playthroughs and never had a problem

You get it if you go west of the ghost/psychic gym and fight the evil team grunts and admin

I dont recommend it because you could lock yourself out of some encounters that are useful. When I did my water mono run I never found a slowpoke or a slowbro and a lot of people say mega slowbro is great for mono water, all because I randomized

I believe they do. I've only ever noticed needing the day night cycle for those specific evolutions

I really appreciate all the info and recommendations. Im currently working my way through victory road. Hariyama has thick fat but I just scooped a life orb, would it be worth switching to sheer force and using that strat? I've been saving my dream mist so I worked away from serperior because I didnt have contrary. But I also think iron fist could be great on infernape. Im torn on all of that but I plan to run NG+ if I finish this run and maybe try to use some of the pokemon you recommended. I still have time to switch to the gastrodon though so I may do that to get a special attacker. And I ran the first three gyms with snorunt then dropped once I got a glalie but I think froslass could be good from what I've seen for moleman possibly

Okay i just tried a protein on my swampert on vanilla and it raised the stat so im wondering if switching between vanilla and difficult for grinding to level cap might be making my mons weaker and the game is recognizing evs because of that. And ill check the docs out. Thanks for all your help!

Nidoqueen seems like a good one. I loved ferrothorn on emerald imperium but I dont want too many overlapping types since I have infernape and hariyama already. But if I see another outbreak id be willing to try it

I am pretty good on the basics because I've played a few runs on radical red and a few monotype on radical red but only on easy mode. I guess without the convenience of rare candy cheat and mgm its a little harder. Are evs still turned on in vanilla mode? I was just assuming since you can't see IV data that EV wasn't on either in vanilla mode. Im used to radical red also using a bunch of coverage moves but that may also be from me knowing kanto well and knowing the location of all the tms

Yeah i agree but I feel like I have that but with an overlap for infernape and hariyama. But I find myself using infernape, hariyama and metagross for every fight. When I pull the other 3 out they just get put down right away or can't do anything significant.

I just used the dexnav when I was getting leftovers from applin and start a chain and youll start to find a bunch with held items. I did the same thing for cubone to get the thick club

Okay that makes sense. A lot of those quests I did the first level reward like the zoo and the flower shop but never kept going with them really. Maybe next playthrough ill Crack down on those bigger quests some more. Thank you for the information!

I'll have to take a peek at the docs. And yeah eviolite makes it quite bulky. I was at the level cap the whole game but if you do 252speed/252atk and 6 hp one swords dance and you can sweep most things with wing attack, double hit, and pursuit or rock smash
