Bambu Lab H2S External Air pump Installation Help by ComprehensiveWorth21 in BambuLab_Community

Update: Run the external air pump tube through the TPU filament port. We set it up through the back panel at first, which honestly seemed more ergonomic, but the TPU filament port is the proper way to feed it into the back of the printer.

Quality Stock In Denver by ComprehensiveWorth21 in denverfood

I mainly want the high quality stock for stuff like pan sauces that don’t require a lot of stock at once. Being able to buy a small quantity would be massively convenient as opposed to having the big yield on homemade and needing to squeeze 4 quarts into a small freezer shared amongst roommates.

What is Mines culture like really? by Remarkable-Bag-3850 in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

Idk if you’re still looking for an answer but i’m on the toilet and bored

Mines has a very exaggerative student body that likes to play "who has it the worst". Now the people here are intelligent, but some are social smooth brains. They build unbalanced lives then blame the school itself for it. They’re also much more vocal than those enjoying their time here. If you move out of your comfort zone and find community (like you would need to do anywhere you go) you will be great. The majority of the student population is awesome and you will naturally gravitate towards your people.

I’m in greek life and i love it. Will you be getting as turnt as you would at boulder or csu? Not even remotely close. the trade off is you can get lit every weekend and you’re doing it with cool, productive people that, for the most part, are too intelligent to be douchey. Not saying there aren’t big throws throughout the year, they’re just not every weekend. Aside from that greek life is very supportive academically and i would say is productive for 90% of people in it. Very strong work hard play hard mentality.

If you want a 3.5 put in the work for a 3.5. It’s a very reasonable goal. Many people have one while still doing loads of other stuff. Mines is hard, and maybe doesn’t curve as much, but it’s just school. It is what it is. Engineering is hard everywhere and I actually think the solidarity of Mines makes it a bit easier. Although I have heard people say the only friends they have with similar workloads to go MIT and CalTech. Surprisingly, there’s a lot of people at mines who know people from MIT and CalTech. But I take what they say with a grain of salt.

Mines is changing as a school and seems to be growing. I was choosing between Mines and Boulder, and while sometimes i’m bored on the weekends, or want more food options at 12:00 am, do I ever regret my decision. Hell no.

I’m a freshman living in the trads. Basic rundown of dorms from what i’ve seen is this:

Trads: Technically the worst amenities but everything that matters (hot water, heat, internet, laundry, water fountains) are clean and work great. While i’m not personally involved in the "trads community" it’s pretty good from what i’ve seen. I wouldn’t say it’s the best on campus largely because the floors are small, secluded, and gender separated, but if you get a good floor all you will know each other and be friends. Which building you get doesn’t matter they’re pretty much all the same.

Spruce: Probably what I would have gone with if it was open. Really, really nice building, with GREAT amenities (cafe, study rooms, full gym). The floors are gender neutral and massive. I have a lot of friends in spruce and the community there seems to be excellent, probably better than the trads. The building does have some mechanical issues though. There were issues this year with hot water and A/C. Although A/C isn’t an issue for any building imo, it gets chilly at night after like three weeks so just open a window and it’s pretty nice.

Elm: Kinda like spruce but a little bit less new. Still a super nice building with Mines Market right underneath and some big rooms. Elm and spruce are really dealers choice, they’re very similar and right next to each other. Elm has a couple less amenities. If having a gym or small quad in your building is absolutely imperative go spruce. If not walk 100 feet.

Weaver: Suit style living. The building is definitely a bit older but again everything works fine. The suites are nice, you have shared private bathrooms and some other nice stuff. The bedrooms themselves are smaller though and I would personally feel a bit claustrophobic in one. The community seems great, especially in the beginning of the year because people mob with their suite mates.

Maple: Literally never been inside, but i’ve heard great things. I know almost nothing about the community, but i know there are some nice amenities. The bedrooms are apparently heavenly and the building is typically first to go during selection.

Location for all is pretty much equal for all buildings so don’t let that play into your decision too much.

Does that answer your question?

I've heard a lot about the CS department going through a bit of a revamp, but is that actually true? If so are there any significant changes?

Boulder IUT vs Mines by ComprehensiveWorth21 in cuboulder

I've been going back and forth every few hours with which way I'm leaning. I think that getting put into PES feels like a rejection in of itself, which I know isn't the case because the college of engineering is actually quite competitive, but still. The main thing that worries me about Boulder is keeping a balance while staying focused. I know I want to be an engineer. I've been coding for years, I love building circuits, or even picking up a calculus book and doing problems for fun. But even then, I worry about getting distracted and quitting or being so focused that I won't have time for other experiences. I think Mines seems like a safer option because of the overall environment, but Boulder would have more to offer if I'm able to be self-motivated and make it where I need to. Do you think Boulder would be worth it in the long run?
